Enginehead Posted April 4, 2016 Report Share Posted April 4, 2016 Need advise. Is trail 5 out of RDL to Amqui rideable? Thinking of leaving out of RDL tomorrow morning to Amqui. My other option is drive the Hotel Pelchat les escoumins and north to Forestville or up the Pelchat trail to Mount Valin. Any thoughts or Advise. A post in "General" from Greg says grooming on Mont Valin will continue til the 15th. It is a long drive but it is better than riding on dirt. Good luck. Phil 1 Posted April 5, 2016 Report Share Posted April 5, 2016 We are there 5 out of RDL should be ok expect spring conditions. There was a washout east of Mont Joli that had trail closed had to back track to 587 but that was Friday it is a lot colder surely washout froze. Stay on north side it was groomed and mid winter. We left Murdochville today and when we got on the 5 it was niot good frozen ruts but passable. 587 to le cashe was great after first 20 miles. Go get it.
