It has mixed feelings, we're excited all winter for this trip and sad as well knowing it is our last ride of the season.

We are group of 9 leaving Ottawa Thursday afternoon ( 6 of who have never been there ) to ride three days in heaven. On Friday we plan to ride to Taboussac which is something we have not been able to do in April which should be exciting.

We were hoping for sun and plus 10 degree C, but -2 and snow is not a bad alternative lol.

I think we heard the Fat Lady this weekend in Saguenay and Charlevoix. Signs are down in Jonquiere, Mt Apica closed Sunday, Boulinaire relay closed Sunday, 383 trail closed between 83 and 368. That being said, conditions are still great. Rode from L Etape to Mt St Anne on 369, was perfect and they are grooming at least to next week, club is having season ender at Castor Relay. 3 east was as good as ever. 383, 301, 83, all terrific. Rode back on 23 yesterday, first tracks all the way to L Etape, best trail we have ridden all year. This is probably the last week below the Saguenay river, but there is still alot of snow above the river, just depends on how long the grooming holds out. Have fun if you go, lots of snow and cold temps this week, so sad to seeit end, see you all next season.

Steve, pretty sure the 383 was good to the 368 this past weekend. Came this way back from the Casino Sunday Am. Few water spots but good snow. Have to look at the map but we stayed at #21 on the map and needed to go this way.

383 is great up to 368, closed from there up north. How was that Mt Valin Motel?

Well lets just say its not the Delta but in the end it worked out well as we left and went north and then on the return straight up the trail and in to the parking lot. Couldn't have been simpler since we don't ride this area much.

Came home late last night after three great days of riding. Ended up being seven of us leaving Ottawa Thursday and staying at Passion.

Pics speak for themselves, tons of snow, trails were mint, off trail was a blast and a work-out.

Offtrailing is a lot of fun boys, digging out, flipping over, getting lost and most of all ribbing your friends for their wild'n crazy moves.

Wish I knew it was that good up there Fozzy, would've convinced some crazys around here to jump on board and head up to see the Valins....avec des fleurs.

Nice run thanks for sharing.

Hard to tell who's unstucking who between the one at the top with the rope or the one at the bottom on her side.

Hopefully that one in the hole was a low speed lawn-dart. If that was my Apex I'd wait till spring to get 'er. Oh damn! It IS spring!

Anyway, looks like a blast!

Iceman is waxing nostalgic looking at that yellow on blue Polaris!

You might see one of those under his butt with a loooong track mod in the future?

wow, looks great, what did you hear while there, we they still be open this week ? My doctor just gave me the go ahead to get back to a normal life and might make the trip (9 hours)

Mark

We were told the trails were being groomed till the 15th, but we didn't see the groomer once. The heavily travelled trails were getting whooped out but there are many others that are table top.

Talking to some guys that have cabins up there say they sled every year in May. Some years even as late as Victoria Day Weekend in May ( third weekend in May ).

That is so true! One of the best parts of sledding is we all have different machines and we all make fun of each other's equipment.

In conditions like this, the worst that can happen is a bent upper A arm or broken windshield.
