doo4adoo
Not sure if its always been there but on the FCMQ site there is a link to fill out to submit for the refund for us out of province. Look under Trail Permit and then to the right side Insurance and termination. Hope to try it out next week. Mike Glenngo
Glenngo
Thanks for posting this. I was just getting ready to fill out the hard copy and mail it for my refund.
Phil 1
Glenngo I could be wrong but I don't think if you are from the USA you can opt out of coverage. I believe it would be foolish anyway for $42.60! Let the Canadian insurance be primary and if needed your USA policy will be secondary. 800steve

X2, if anything bad should happen you will be glad you have the extra.
smclelan
I am sure Phil is correct unless the program has changed, the refund is only available to Canadians.
Trailblazer
That is correct Steven, refund available only to Canadian residents!
Saguenay Bill
When ever I am asked about this by an American I tell them you are helping to subsidize the Quebecers snowmobile insurance plan. Americans can not get the money for the insurance back. I also tell the Americans they should be use to it as they have been spreading the wealth the past 8 years. But things are about to change with the new Sheriff in Town. For me it's no big deal. Have a couple of Quebec Sodas less, aka beer.
GT Rider
Spreading the wealth where I get a wealth of enjoyment is just ok with me. Revxman68
Glenngo
Thanks for the updated info. I'll bet if I was Hollywood elite they would give me the rebate to offset my private jet fuel bill. :)
Saguenay Bill
Not one of the Hollywood Elites has taken Trump Flight 1600.

NJSkidoo
#QuebecriderLivesMatter! Make America Great Again as in 1.60 Exchange Rate and the Quebec snowmobile season/industry would be HUGE. Next week we could see 1.40 with interest rate hike and the promise of more.... Snappy Hank
I filled out the form on-line after talking to a person at the ins. co. She informed me that the refund is indeed available to US residents. It can take up to 30 days for refund to come back. Hank

MrGutz
I think I'd rather the second insurance policy for 40 bucks. But that's me. GutZ Florida Snowman and Phil 1

Saguenay Bill
I was told that last year by FCMQ guys at the Toronto Show but that was not the case. I have been told for many years that this was only for Canadian people, but that could have changed. With most governments, once they get your money there is never a chance of getting it back. Just need to show proof that you have ins in US minimum of 500,000 liability. I will try to post picture of check when I receive it.
