Andyman
Another one but a happier ending. First accident of snowmobile..... saved by his cell phone. Barely the snowmobile season open that already, an incident occurred at the end of the afternoon today in the trail 85 in Saint-Louis-Du-ha! Ha!. A portion of the path where the event occurred is located near the golf club of the valley of the témiscouata. The man was travelling to this place when he lost control of his vehicle. It is at this moment that he found himself in the decor, at the bottom of a ditch. Injured at the bottom of the body and without snowmobile to return to its starting point, he was able to join the emergency services with his cell phone. These have triangulated the call and transmitted the GPS coordinates to the authorities. Quickly, firefighters of Saint-Louis-Du-ha! Ha! Travelled around the place designated with the command post, snowmobile and a sled of rescue. They have located the victim and have transported out of the woods, until the ambulance present on the scene. Fortunately, he gets away with more scared than hurt but without his cell phone, the outcome of the story could have been much worse. Des Motoneigistes are passed right next to the scene of the incident without noticing his presence. It is thanks to her cell phone that he has been able to get away with it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyLi-LEtZYo

The other was in hospital in Burlington VT under a coma. no helmets...went for a quick joy ride. My wife is a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald room at the hospital and was consoling the mother of the girl there. So sad...

Andyman
Another one this time fatal! Stay safe everyone!!! A 44-year-old snowmobile died after a fatal trail exit last night, around 5 pm, in the Lac-Brebeuf zec at Saint-Félix-d'Otis. A group of snowmobilers traveled the trail when the trail would have passed right at the end of a curve, would have been ejected from his craft and then would have sunk into a tree, according to the Sûreté du Québec. Maneuvers were carried out by the people on the spot while waiting for the rescue. His death was found in the hospital. The SQ reminds us that we must be careful on the trails and follow the limits of conduct at this time of year.

Andyman
Another one in Tourville! A snowmobiler lost his life in an accident late in the evening on Friday in Tourville, eastern Quebec. It is a young man of 19 years. According to the Sûreté du Québec, his snowmobile struck a tree on a trail at about 10 pm, near ninth place in Tourville, a town some thirty kilometers south-east of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. SQ spokeswoman Christine Coulombe said the young man lost control of his snowmobile and was alone on his vehicle. An autopsy will be performed on the body. For now, everything indicates that this is an accident. "But the exact context remains to be determined," said Coulombe. The snowmobile followed others on the trail where the accident occurred
