Sort of wish I was there, great place to "Weather" the storm...

You bring a suit or wearing their Tyvek ones... Those kill me...

Scout motto: "Be Prepared"

You just never know what, why, or where you'll wind up right?

That is the one of the reasons we like to put a cushion day into any saddlebag trip.  It is nice to have the luxury of sitting in the hotel for a day if the need arises.  Open up a bottle of vin and sit back planning your strategy for the next day.

Oh!  The lookout Conscrits.  I think that is the name.  You can get to the top of that goat path but it is skinny long uphill ride and if you were to meet someone coming down the trail, well good luck.  As you know, there is hardly a place to get off your sled never mind trying to pass or turn around.  Once you get to the top, there is a tiny turn around area and the view is quite spectacular looking back down into the valley.

Jack & Sandi

This is a different lookout than the Conscrits. The Conscits look out is off local trail 482 not too far from the intersection of 482 & 367. This lookout is off local trail 484 not far after you get off the river. Last season Ginger & I passed the turn off to it just as Mike Rider & Snow Crazed were attempting it.

Trail Meetings have been adjourned. Enough Talk in the morning we take action.

We are gonna Join up with Scorpionbowl and Marty. Go at this with a United Front and by that I mean the two in front will be the 850 Doo of Marty and Scorp on the 800 E-Tec. We will work together to get on back. Or go down swinging. Need to get back Tmmrw night. Got Sno-horse and Kwiknick enroute to Chez Ice for part 2 of this season ender. But more importantly my brother in law has a plane to catch in NY by Friday afternoon. Giddy Up!

big wind all day with snow on and off. Big wind still with a few flurries now and then. Hard to get any sense of snow totals from hotel windows. But for sure tge drifts will be formidable

Nice ride and excellent choices on the trip so far in regards to the lookout visit and deciding to hang in for the day.  Its all about the adventure and maximizing FUN.  If in no rush, why fight whiteout conditions and such if no need?  We are heading back up tomorrow, hoping things had a bit of time to settle.  At home here we got 30 inches I am guessing.

I'm home. Got to Trois Riveres 10pm. Left Casino 8:15am. Washing my riding clothes and back to Saguenay Tmmrw. Gotta go pick up the Ski Doo's and do a few things here before leaving. Trucking to Saguenay. Do we need to? No. But only a 4 day run so going right up where we want to be.

Story of todays ride will be told tomorrow. Ice need rest.

It was not easy. But we got er done. Only 1 Vector stuck twice and not too crazy stuck. Charlevoix is not the place to be after a giant blizzard. But I knew that.

I will tell you all about it tmmrw.
