Mid Range
with all the flooding in Québec this spring, our trail network certainly has suffered at some point.
William Gaf Gaffney
I have a pic of bridge but it keeps telling me upload failed.
vt_bluyamaha54
Almost unbelievable how much the water rose. Unless you knew the area or saw the first part of the video, you almost wouldn't know that the bottom of the bridge had been 2-2.5m above the water! easyrider
Those I beams could not have gone far.
iceman
It's water under the bridge now. For sure not the only one we lost. Hopefully just like the bionic man they will rebuild it stronger. 10 hours ago, easyrider said: Those I beams could not have gone far. True that. revct1
The water pressure is unbelievable to bend steel like that. Jack & Sandi

Cnc
Probably could sell those beams to some snowboarding park to offset the cost of a new bridge.😄
doo4adoo
Is there any word in general how the complete trail system was damaged at this point and what could be effected for next season? Certainly will be a year to REALLY appreciate the folks that volunteer in these areas and get this work completed for us addicts.
Trailblazer
I made a call to Relais 22 last week looking for info on that bridge as I am planning an atv ride next month in that area. Relais 22 said to me it will not be rebuilt this summer but will be rebuilt in the fall and ready for sledding season. Atvs coming from Hedgewick and St.Felicien are crossing La Rivierie Trenche further south on a road bridge. There is another bridge further north that I will be using, I will be coming down from Scerie 54 in search of a shortcut trail for winter to escape having to go from Relais 22 to St.Felicien, La Dore to get to Scerie 54. I also made some calls to the Presidents of the La Dore and St.Felicien clubs, my voicemails have not been answered yet. Grrrrr....... Mid Range
Club Passe-Partout from Roberval posted on fb stating for next winter, they will build an ice bridge on Trenche River. More details to follow....

Maybe so, the supporters up there (hotels, resto and gas) that depend on the $$$$ coming up that 83 will surely suffer. A bridge like they had before don't cost that much. In the grand sceme of it all. In turn Relais 22 will suffer with less early and late traffic. They need to put a bridge back simple as that. I'm not familiar with summer riding, near there is that the VTT trail as well? Seems to me they could split the cost.
hparaptor
Same philosophy as down here. Get the VTT riders to fund trails they can't use. Lol. Hope it works out for you

If they use it all spring, summer and fall then we only use it come winter i think it's a fair deal. 3 seasons to 1. actually maybe better to keep it this way. Then maybe they will pay more attention to 355 which is a better trail anyway. Edited August 9, 2017 by iceman
