Not a big one thankfully, but it's game on for fire season.

FIRE. The loss of control of a trash fire will have been the cause of a fire in 3.5 hectares, in Clova, in the Haute-Mauricie sector. According to the Sopfeu, firefighters are still fighting this fire this morning,

The fire would have started around 4 pm on Saturday afternoon.

During the evening, two tankers took part and the fire quickly obtained the status "Contained" It can do no more harm than that has been done up to now.

The Sopfeu does not know if the planes are still needed this morning.

Firefighters on the ground are still controlling the fire.

This one near Relais MT Apica on Route 169 yesterday.

Don - You said one of the fires was a trash burn that got away but are most of the summer fires lightning caused or man caused?

Most by man, but lightning does do it too. Not as much.
