Saguenay Bill
Friend of mine, Dannydoo, just emailed regarding Air Medic and a new deal they offer this year where you can buy it for a 3 month period for $50 + tax, CA$. Check it out here. https://www.airmedic.net/en/subscribe/ Sounds great to me, I just subcribed. Glenngo and Shane 1

SnomoGary
Brilliant idea, we just joined up , $70 for the 2 of us for 30 days in February including tax. God willing we won't use it, as it's one helicopter we don't want to ride in. Shane and nyskidooerinnewhampshire
MrGutz
I'm signing up! My brothers have never crashed a helicopter, but there is always a first time! I believe GEO source also offers similar insurances too. I'll see if I can find the link. They will get you back home too. USA, GB, etc... Saguenay Bill
If you need their services and you haven't signed up with them, the cost is $7,500 per hour, per Dannydoo. Makes the $50 seem very small. Shane

PLAYHARD
An Iridium Extreme device & plan throws in access to GEOS operators for location & coordination with a push of "the red button". And you can prepay a reasonable fee for search & rescue or medivac coverage, like Quebec-only AirMedic (which I have). This outfit kicks butt for Iridium hardware and usage plans: https://www.spdirect.com/iridium-9575-extreme-satellite-phone.html They activate my unit on a monthly plan for the riding months and deact when it gets melty. You want a monthly plan, because if you're working thru a bucket of "prepaid" minutes your unit could go kaput at the worst time, and you can't top-up out in the bush. No annual commitment @ SP Direct because they rotate their Iridium contracts with other adventure clients in the other seasons. (Bird watchers? Butterfly catchers?) Sorry if this was a hijack, or TMI, or redundant! (And no, I'm not aware of a program where any of these device or service providers pay for the first round for referrals)
