Cnc
The weatherman predicted freezing rain for around here, in the Tremblant area. We got a tiny bit of freezing rain last night then nothing. I woke up to this, about 2 inches of white trail surfacer. PLAYHARD
Fuse6
Hi Cnc Any new developments on the trails reconnecting south of Tremblant. Saw where the local town people were lobbying for it but is there any hope it will happen in the near future.
Cnc
Hi Fuse, it was supposed to be a done deal last spring, the bypass connecting Tremblant to St Agathe via Lac Carre St Faustin that is, but it seems there is a hiccup. The club Diablo et Rouge is in charge of the project and they are awaiting approval and funds from the ministry of transport not sure if it is for the bridge or not. I will try to get more info as it gets updated. That info was on the club face book page Nov 6th and they apparently are expecting news shortly. Cnc
Info is very vague at this time but a short summary on face book of the Diable et Rouge AGM suggests the ministry of transport came up short on the funds and the club is looking for a solution. The club needs to come up with or find regional investment for 25% of the cost it would seem. Pretty darn sure the Tremblant - St Faustin by pass is not happening this year dispite talk last Feb it was a done deal.
Cnc
Diable et Rouge club announced yesterday they will start grooming between Christmas and NewYears if we get the expected snow. Well we got 5-6 inches on top of the 6 inches or so already on the ground, so it should be a go around here soon. No word on the ice though. Cold days and nights coming all this week so it should be safe fairly soon.
