Trailblazer
Does anyone know how to get real time footage from Google Earth? Or should I say immediate images. Looking for areas with snow coverage, lakes starting to or already freezing kinda stuff.
MrGutz
Maybe via NOAA or a phone App for weather? Just a thought. GutZ

Enter the date you want to see & the map from that day will display. http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/interactive/html/map.html
Trailblazer
Thanks for your help Tom but that’s not quite what I am looking for. Looking for real time images from Google Earth from 24-72 hours old.

Scranton1
http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nsa/ this gives u anything related to snow and snow depth. realtime google earth images could pose some serious issues with privacy. 😳💍💄💋👄👁 I would have a hard time believing we could get access to that....... Signfan
There is a NASA satellite that will show you ice cover on lakes when the cloud cover isn't thick. NASA Modis I believe it is. I use the NOHRSC site for snow cover. It's the best I've seen. Just change the settings from "water equivalent" to "depth". I also turn the roads on which helps to keep you oriented. Let me know if you find something better.
