groomer Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 i just called a friend to escort me to cross town on tq 5 and he told me that the gaspé (city ) area received 2 ' last week end .he saw that on tv . ha !! ha !! ha !! looks like i m going to fight a few drifts today with all that wind last week end !!! and for wednesday 90 % chance of snow !!! groomer !!! We were there on Thursday afternoon with Patsy and Dale at chandler clubhouse. She informed us of big snow for Sat night so Daytripper and I booked it on out Fri. morning at 4:00. Rode to Riviere-Du-Loupe, just under 500 miles. Next day rode another 500 to the house here in VT. I was beat. Will post when time allows. Groomer we stopped just long enough at yoyur clubhouse for a glass of milk and a soup. Signed your book too. You have the greatest trails around. Not just the grooming but also the style. Nice work. I agree parts of the Gaaspesie have been blessed with snow, over & over & over...... I was around the Gaspe early in the winter (1st wknd in Jan) and there was more snow in the Pasbebaic area then I have seen in all my years traveling up there. RoadRunner Posted March 5, 2008 Report Share Posted March 5, 2008 Here are a few pics of the perce area on Monday, the trails were plugged, back roads plugged, driveways plugged, 132 half open in spots, it was a wild and wooley for 36 hours in Perce!! enjoy the pics RR The trails were a little tough going The secondary roads were not much better, It was time to turn around Some people missed work on this day!! This was an Option, even this road was plugged to the center line in places The snow packed in on many of the sleds during the storm! All in all, a great time and another great Gaspe experience, The gang at Auberge Roland were awesome, Bernie did a great job waiting on us for breakfast. Groomer, we had another great trip in the Gaspe, good variety of trail conditions and riding conditons. its what makes the experience different each year. groomer Posted March 7, 2008 Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 Groomer, we had another great trip in the Gaspe, good variety of trail conditions and riding conditons. its what makes the experience different each year.Hope all is well RR hi roadrunner !!! almost a bad day for grooming here .lots of freezing rain and wind yesterday and snow was just like '' sugar '' and heavy .drifts were very hard packed and it was nt grooming too well . broke the '' hitch '' for the drag and let the drag just outside town ,brought the tractor home.will fix tomorrow morning. very nice day for riding here ,but a little bit too warm .i was '' cooking '' inside the cab.not much traffic ,about 25 sleds today . groomer !!!
