Day 7

SMDS to Shawinigan.

All righty let’s wrap this run up. Short run today back home. Left Cabanon just before 10am. Just getting out of the corral was an adventure. We got one doing laps in the corral, why I’m not sure, another two pulling forward then backing up fast as they can, maybe some sort of ritual. Or voodoo. Anyway between laps We sneek out and hit the 345. Absolutely beautiful. Very good shape here. After jct with 23, the fun begins. Time to pick my way through this pack. I know Snohorse is gonna do the same. Make short work of this group. At jct 360 this side of bridge another big group stopped. Love when they are stopped makes it easier, not as fun but easier. Great trail all the way back up and to the jct on the top of the m-20. Another fine looking trail here. About halfway through we catch up to the groomer. After passing him is good but not as great. Corners all bumped up. A little further and we stop to check on 2 guys stopped, and what do you know, we have the pleasure of meeting Quebec Bob and his friend(sorry, did not catch his name) we could have talked for hours but we both had places to go. So until we meet again Bob. Down to Mattawin and it’s looks like free cheeseburgers or something at the restaurant. Crazy the amount of sleds there today. No cheeseburger on the schedule for us gas and go. 360 to St Joseph and to St Tite and 23. Very nice. 351 back to 3. Once again closer to Shawinigan, the more traffic and more used up it was. Must have been the same free burgers at Relais Station cause had to be at least 150 sleds there, probably more. Back down 3 and into the driveway here before 2:30. Short day to end an epic run. Conditions were very favorable and we saw some unbelievable trail. What Quebec is all about.

168 miles today,
1786 for the run of 6.5 days

Thanks for reading along.
