Saw the trail to misstissini one sled track.

Near Chibougamau the trail to Mistissini is always one sled wide. That’s it. After 2-3 miles not even it’s a whole other ballgame. We abanoned our first try years back because of the single track. But that leads to awesomeness. Might be different this year but probably not.

At chapis they said it’s closed. We took a ride up and there was only one track. Not a beaten one track, but literally one track and looking overgrown. There is a ton of snow here wasn’t worth the chance. With a long track for sure

Day 6

Todays plan was to head down the 93 to la dore and deceide from there where to go. 12degrees this morning and freshly groomed tq93 set up perfectly. Down to saw milk for lunch and fuel. The 93 was sweet. Only saw a handful of sleds. Back on the 93 towards la dore light snow falling now as we get closer the LSJ looks like they got  about 4-5” nice!  We deceide to head to Roberval, I’m nursing a bad cold and Eric wants to stop at the doo dealer to check the rear axle bearings. Sure enough around st prime track starts ratcheting like a mofo. Track super loose. Nurse it into roberval I check in he goes to the dealer. Cracked axle bushing and bad bearing. There able to fix it right away. 200 miles today. At chateau roberval for the night. Back to the truck in Shawinigan in the morning.

Day 7

Its amazing how quick a week goes. Back to the truck today A lot of sleds at the chateau last night tent overflowing. Local orange to tq83 freshly groomed nice to the 355 also fresh to Lac bouchette for fuel. Continue on the infamous section of the 355 towards Lac Eduard. Well look at this freshly groomed set up like concrete. Sweet!!!  Here we go! HaHa! Back to reality! No grooming not bad considering the new snow. Lac eduard for lunch at 11 quite a few sleds. 355 south from there freshly groomed nice to LT1 also sweet to the pipeline, looked like it was groomed last night but warm temps tearing it up. Jumped on the 360 again warm temps and traffic showing its wear. Some bare spots showing up. Into tq23 and into the marineau hotel where the truck is. 1603 miles for this trip. Back safe and sound. A few minor sled issues but with 18,000 and 19,000 miles on the ole girls to be expected. Still a lot of snow here, warm temps and weekend traffic will take its toll for sure. Alot of sleds out today. Hoping for our annual gaspe trip end of March. Have only been screwed once in the last 7-8 Year’s. This year doesn’t look promising but March is a crazy month! Hope y’all enjoyed our journey!
