Backcountry12
Parking at Hotel Le-Classic next Friday AM. Were just thru the area in February and could not find outfitters or lodges. Do you have any recommendations or places we missed? Stayed in motel every night. We have stayed in Lac-Fallion, Clova and Fer-Cheval so familiar with those areas. Or route last month was parking at Hotel Forestal. First night in Chibougamua, second in Matigami, third in Notre-Dame and then back to Hotel Forestal the last day. Never saw any or passed any lodges (Except Camp Rhonda which is closed) or outfitters. Thinking of heading up to La-Sarre and doing a loop back down. Thanks in advance for you suggestions. Did you stay there?
snowmaster2112
Didnt stay, but ate lunch. They have fantastic food. I checked out the rooms and they are fairly small and modest but VERY clean. Gas was 2.00 litre there but guy said it was super and just had a delivery recently. snowdogs
Balbuzard is awesome, Laverendrye is just ok, rooms are small and you share 3 bathrooms with all the rooms, dinner was sub par as compared to the other places we stayed on our trip last week.
