I do have a SXS..

Would love to do some riding up that way if time permits.

I did speak with Dominic last season and he told me that he was having problems with his small groomer but planned on grooming it if repairs get made. Idk maybe it's his way of saying if I don't get funded then I'm not grooming.

The Lepine road is one of my top 3 rides.  I try to hit it every season.  When I came down it last weekend I noticed the loggers are all the way up to km 106.   The pensive is at km 57.  I think the Lepine will not be a viable option for the next 2 or 3 years.   Hopefully when the work is done it will include a new bridge at the top.  The old red steel one is in sad shape. Ideally it would be nice to run it from top to bottom, straight from Clova to Grand Remous, bypassing the new one pictured above.  If and when this does happen,  maybe the members here will be smart enough to support Dominic.  I seem to remember not long ago reading about the Tabarnak being the best food and rooms in Clova, and how much we missed them.  Hypocritical to say how much we love the Lepine road, but say we miss the Tabarnak.   Granted they were nice people, and I wish them the best.  We would swing in for a drink every time, but spend the bulk of the money at Dominic's.  This rant is not directed at you Doonali. It is a purely economic statement to the guys that miss the grooming on the Lepine. How would you like it to spend over $10k to watch the neighbor ride your coat tail for free?

Just got back from Cape Breton. When I can’t sled, we tour different areas on motorcycles. A group of 12 of us this time round.A489E07D-F70D-4E8C-A2A5-2B64175D3F28.thumb.jpeg.a190b8acfccaf49fea544c7259340aa8.jpegCAB64847-17BE-4AD8-8ABA-396D512CD48F.thumb.jpeg.8968661f05096c08bfd21e2afe1578b4.jpegA1A1F4E0-87D4-47F4-AD03-3CED0F1B611D.thumb.jpeg.6c3dfd7670a657a3e25223ef5843d75e.jpeg8138957D-8C41-4385-9369-E086CDDDA283.thumb.jpeg.0f178710853a931dd024486394395e0d.jpeg

Yes, a great ride for sure, second trip by bike for  my wife and I. For some others it was their first trip into Atlantic Canada. One from Michigan, one from Wisconsin, 2 from New York, 2 from Boston area, one from Georgia, one from Ontario and Two were local to Nova Scotia, one of them lives near the Cabot Trail and gave us a local touch to the tour.  I rode down from Tremblant with my wife, and we all met along the way at predetermined points.

We did loops back to Rabaska each day. We stayed in cottage 20 right on the river and swam each day as the water temp was great. E12021B8-FCDB-4DFE-A1DF-2F118B21DC8B.thumb.jpeg.6a5e82d491ad732790fd5a7ec66093e1.jpegLunch at Notawissi0B9FBFAC-CF15-422A-9175-F9558A6C8036.thumb.jpeg.1ffc8bc86d9851809f721a9c53ce83bf.jpegA couple of cold ones at Cockanagog and a lunch at Mekoos. This was first time for all the others up in Quebec and they were blown away with the accommodations and the trails. Martin took us out for a sunset tour out on the reservoir for a great end to the trip. Really had a blast !

I also like Lepine road for a couple of different reasons. One being the direct route north through some great country from my starting point in Maniwaki.

As far as Dominic, he has always treated my crew well and I support his establishment.

We can hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach

LOL !! That's the one !  Rockaway Beach is our playground in the summer. 20 min by bike from the house. Another Rockaway Beach on the Oregon coast,  we were there a few years back. The Rockaways in NY have made a BIG comeback in the last 10 yrs or so, especially after Super Storm Sandy

Don I think you should just take them back and get your self a Yamaha grizzly four wheeler.  No just kidding. I bet you are going to love them. More and more ride them here and all seem to love them. I'm jealous.  Be safe .

No, but I wish I was.  I am almost always up there for this weekend, but we had a big gathering at my home lake this weekend.  Weather wasn't that great for it, and by the looks of the weather in your picture I should have gone up there!  Any good stories from the weekend?  There usually are a few.  lol
