That looks like a great way to spend a week or two. I've been trying to think of things I want to do in my new found retirement, a ride around NS and PEI sounds great. Thanks for sharing!

Was the ferry open when you were there?, it was closed most of the summer and lots of construction on the trail the week we were there, still great ride!

Wife and I did the east coast tour last summer. Spend 12 days wth perfect weather touring PEI, Cabot Trail and Nova Scotia on our Spyders.

Beautiful country to tour on the bikes. Wonderful people everywhere you go.

First of September we drove our daughter from Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia to start university. Returned home through the U.S. That is a beautiful drive through NH and VT. Want to return on the bikes sometime and do some exploring.

Pre season trail inspections in the Parent region.  345 north of Kanawata has been widened, should be in tip top shape this winter.  83 west of Casey is also being improved, however this is in advance of logging operations this winter. Genevieve confirmed that the Alliance du Nord contracted Andre to run his dozer to clean the old 83 in order to reroute the trail this winter.

14th place Saturday night... not the result we were looking for. Got turned under yellow by a back of the packer. Needless to say we did not obey the officials request to stay at our trailer when race was over and not go to the 14 pit to discuss things. Yeah ok. Good luck. I will tell you this the 14 is n notice and will be steering clear of the 43.

Today was a new day same track. Drummondville. Got home just before 3am, slept 3.5 hrs and right back to shop to fix car and prepare for today’s race. Won the Qualifying race but in Sportsman class here (not sure if usa same) the top 12 (not sure) i think in qualifying pick a number from the hat for a starting place. We picked 8 ugh.

Fastest car there today hands down on the drop of green flag he was right up to 5 then 4,3,2, he took the lead i think 36 laps into the 75 lap final and drove away, 1/2 lap lead. Almost half a second faster then second place. Turning killer laps. Track was real green and using up lots of tires. We lost the right rear with 11 laps to go driving away from the field.Tire was brand new today and he burned it right to nothing and it failed. (Forgot that picture, will take one when we unload truck) literally was a slick no treads hardly at all, done finished. Luckily was during a yellow for another incident. He pitted we changed the tire and back out 14 with 11 laps to go(last 25 only green flag laps count) restart goes great and we rebound to finish fourth.

That’s Racing. Fastest car does not always win.

All and all happy gang. We are off to St Guillaime not far from Drummondville for 100 laps next Saturday, Then Oct 11 we leave for Brookville Ontario to race there on the 12 oct.

go fast turn left.

Yes....The ferry was open & the regretfully the construction was underway on MacKenzie mountain . Even with the inconvenience of stopping for brief periods it was still a wonderful journey.  Click on the link below to see the referenced stretch of MacKenzie Mountain.

IMO you will not regret it.

For research consider viewing https://cabottrailbiker.com  The site offers great points & places to stay. The author Daniel Ross is a wonderful guy. We met him in N.B.  and he showed us some of his best back roads in Nova Scotia as Ginny & I made our way to the trail.

Any additional questions do not hesitate to reach out as I will try & answer any questions you may have.

Stay safe.

Yes lots of construction and delays on the trail but the rest of the ride made up for it. Here is a link to our groups photos if your interested.https://flickr.com/photos/137248929@N02/albums/72157697706752581

This past Friday & Saturday was Boy Scout weekend at the airport & I helped out with Young Eagle flights. There were four of flying & we gave 107 kids a ride. All the Scouts were very well behaved. One group was fascinated by the fact my plane has ashtrays. The one in the front right seat spotted the 12V outlet in the panel & asked is that where you charge your Iphone I replied yes I use that to charge my electronics but this is really what it's for & I pulled the cigarette lighter out of the glove box...needless to say they had no idea what it was...

One of the other pilots said as he was on short final one of the kids yelled "brace for impact"

This past weekend there was a TFR in effect since President Trump was at his golf course in Bedminster, NJ. The EAA Chapter I'm a member of had worked out a system for us to fly with the FAA, Secret Service, FBI & probably a bunch of other 3 letter government agencies.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing, easy enough to use one's imagination on the Chowder Hut, but HOLY HELL MAN no food porn from Mr. Chicken?!

Believe it or not none of us had chicken at mister chicken. We were all supposed to meet back up at an ice cream shop some one spotted after we gassed up. Yeah an ice cream shop that doesn’t have a ice cream sign just a big mister chicken sign, half the place sells chicken the other half sells ice cream. I rode past it twice before figuring out where everyone went.

Great day today. Went to the Syracuse Big East snowmobile show this morning. Picked up a couple pairs of carbides for the girls. While I was there seen Bill at the Delta booth. Had a great talk about plans for the winter. He let me know earlier he was going to have trail passes with him so we are ready for Quebec riding. Called my kid to imform him he owed me 300 hundred. Bill said the place was packed last night and today there was a line out the door to get in. Did see some bulk Ski Doo oil there for 36 dollars a gallon but wasn't parked close enough. Won't be long now. Have a good day all and be safe.
