Stopped for lunch a few weeks ago.   Restaurant was nice.  They have individual cabins, and large cabins with 6 or 8 bedrooms and a shared living area.    Their view should be good over the Fjord, but it was a white out so we couldn’t see anything.  It is pretty remote-nothing else down there so I wouldn’t be concerned with theft.   Stayed there 15 years ago and it has been fixed up a lot.   Might try it again sometime.

We have visited for lunch and also stayed overnight while passing thru Valin on a bagger.

Food was very good, even on the american plan.

Cabins were great. Roomy and warm (able to dry out gear) and they overlooked the fjord.

Depending on which cabin you get you can walk to the main lodge..which also has a killer sauna.

I would not plan on doing more then 1-2 days out of there, as the road ride in and out is always thin, regardless of how much snow is on the ground.

There is also a lot of backtracking in order to get to trail system if staying for multiple days.
