nyskidooerinnewhampshire
"Pictures won’t do justice.".......So true. Always disappointed when comparing the captured electronic image vs real life / real time image. Thanks for the blogs. Much appreciated. Enjoy. Thanks for the great pics and reports J & G! It’s 14K long. I’m not sure how wide. There is just the one trail that cuts across to the lighthouse. It’s not very long. The trail runs on the BSL side. MrGutz
Nice Reports! Do I ask how the Helmets' Shields are holding up? Thanks GutZ
GT Rider
Hi GutZ, after reading all the issues with shields I felt gun shy and left the new helmets home. I had a 12 day saddle bag trip planned. I was looking forward to using them but didn’t want to have any hassle on my trip. Hopefully there will be a revised shield available for next season. GT Rider
Saturday continued We cross back over and take 567 to 5 going east the trails are in great condition. We get on 571 going to Squatec. We got about 15 miles out of Squatec and decided it was getting late and head back to RDL. We take 544 to 44 to 85. All trails were good to go. We got in 147 miles. Not too bad for a late start. When we arrived we had the pleasure to meet Alain and Krikri. They are starting out on a trip Sunday. zeusand, PLAYHARD and towing 2

GT Rider
Sunday We meet Mike, Joe, and Jack at breakfast. Mike gives us some general info to point us in a good direction. We are looking for Alain and Krikri but we don’t see them. They are starting a trip so I am sure they are busy getting ready. It’s a blue sky and warm 30f. We make our way from the hotel and take 5 toward Trios-Pistoles. It looks like the groomer came through. It is smooth and flat. We cruise on to the clubhouse and make a pit stop. We were going to try the restaurant at Squatec but I have a grilled cheese with bacon at Trios-Pistoles. GT Rider
We head off toward Squatec. 5 to 571 the trails are super. There is little in the way of traffic. We fuel up and take a look for the restaurant (future destination). I was thinking we would take 571 to Degelis but some how we wound up taking 35 to Cabino. The first 10 miles were pretty good. It had been closed a few days earlier and we had to turn back. I see the incline that spooked me and it’s nothing now. The further west we went the less appealing the trail got. We went through some plowed road where they are logging. We make our way to 85 and it’s a super. groomer, PLAYHARD, Florida Snowman and 1 other 3
GT Rider
We stop for some pizza. There is a place that has a wood fired brick oven. We have some terrific pizza and beer batter fry’s. towing and PLAYHARD
GT Rider
After lunch we hit the Shell station and head for Degelis. 85 is super nice. I take my lakeside pics. GT Rider
I was thinking of heading over to Pohenegamook but “we” decided to take a nice leisurely ride back to the hotel on 85. It is perfect. towing, groomer, PLAYHARD and 2 others 4

GT Rider
When we arrived back at the hotel we passed mikes room. We see a bit of a crowd. Joe, Jack, Farmerold, and his buddy. It was great fun talking snowmobiling. Last night we took Mikes advice and made our way over to Symposium restaurant. We had a fantastic dinner. Best meal of the trip. Can’t thank you enough for your great hospitality. mikerider

Northbound
GT, we too, have been following your adventure. We were traveling during the same period of time. We layed over in Matane for 3 days after looping the gaspe, waiting for better trails. We rode to RDL on thursday. We must have been just ahead of you, because we saw that group at the clubhouse when we stopped for a break. They were just eating. Friday we rode back to Bernieres. We were amazed how quickly the trails were in such good conditions after the storm. Maybe next year pur paths will cross. Thank you for taking the time to post such a good report, and the pics of groomer in action were cool! GT Rider
Hi Jeff and Sandy, last year you were a day ahead of us. We’re getting closer. I have been watching for your trip report. Mother Nature Knocked us for a loop this trip. I like Steven’s saying the Gaspe never disappoints😂😂😂. Northbound and smclelan
mikerider
Jim and Gemma, It was so nice the past few days to get to spend some time with you. Your pictures and reports covered the RDL area so beautifully. I hope another year down the road you can drop by again for a few days. Enjoy the next few days of your trip and hope the trails are smooth. mike towing
GT Rider
Monday We go down for breakfast and meet Mike, Joe, Jack, Dave, and Keith. It’s always fun to hear snowmobiling stories. Time Passes so quickly. Everyone goes to get ready. Today it’s snowing lightly the temp is 29f. My machine is back to fully loaded mode. We take off. By the time we reach 85 I realize hay maybe I should take a look at the GPS. I’m supposed to be headed the other way. We backtrack and go through the tunnels get on the orange trail going south. It has seen some traffic. towing
