Cnc
I imagine this plan will be adopted else where in Quebec but the MRC des Laurentides has made a plan of evacuation obligatory for all recreational trails in case of emergency in it’s territory. There will be 911 emergency signs at the beginning of trails and every 2 KM a sign with a location number beginning with the letter F, so the 911 operator will know exactly where you are when you tell them the F-number. This system is only going into service next season but already the signs are being installed.. Surprisingly, a lot of the trails around in the MRC district have decent coverage, yes some dead spots but we have come along way. As mentioned hope nobody has to use it. Instead of a few seasons of renting a sat phone one could own this tough little mutha: https://www.roadpost.com/iridium-extreme-satellite-phone.html And with the Roadpost Iridium monthly plans the unit doesn't just quit after a bucket of minutes like prepaid plans: https://www.roadpost.com/satellite-phone-monthly-airtime-plans.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi4-tiMCs4QIVCK_ICh377QtYEAAYASABEgI1_fD_BwE On 3/26/2019 at 1:39 PM, SnomoGary said: × 2 on that Don same as air medic....
