Last time we stayed at pavillon la verendrye lodge first night then next day to mount Laurier they are not open this winter just for gas and food. so we are trying to see what our options are for the first night ,then head to Mount Laurier. any help would be appreciated thanks Greg
GSX800
As far as I can tell there is nothing along 43. With La Verendrye and Truite Lac with no lodging this year, nothing along 63 without a big mile day as well. What is your basic loop look like? Is mount Laurier makeable from valdor in 1 day ???? If so we will just head to valdor then to mount Laurier and then do our loop.

Near 280 miles. We did Val d'Or-Maniwaki a few times. Also the restaurant at Le Domaine is closed since october 25th. Only gas(for now) will be available. Le Domaine will be completely rebuilt in the short term.
GSX800
Comfort Inn in Mont Laurier to Forestel in Val d Or is 292 miles. That’s our day 1 this year. We did this in 2015. It was a cold day, about -20 F. We lost a couple hours that day with a couple guys shields fogging constantly, and a gauntlet/throttle incident at La Verendrye. With all that and leaving Mont Laurier about 8:00, we got settled in at Forestel In time for the second half of the Super Bowl. If it weren’t for the set backs, we would have made it for the whole game. Definitely doable.
