wng-2
Two of us are Planning on leaving 7 February. We have about a week. Plan is to unload in in the Houlton, Maine area, and enter the Quebec trail system via Claire, New Brunswick. Typically (20-25 years ago) we would ride the Gaspe with this amount of time. Just wondering what the conditions are this year, and if we would be better off crossing at Matane and riding the North Shore/ Sagnuay region? I read here recently there was a trail closure in Forestville? What is the status of that? What is the latest means/phone number to cross the river in the Quebec city area? Perhaps we could make a counter Clockwise loop back to Maine. Any other suggestions or things to watch out for are greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. Andyman
Trail at Forestville is open via re-route. In Quebec City on the north side you go to the Colibri Motel and the shuttle leaves from there or the Normandin on the south side . Have a good ride. Any word on snow/trail conditions in the Gaspe?
