I'll bet I can get a psychiatrist's note that I am indeed a hardy fool and that summertime Spydering PQ is absolutely essential.

You may very well get the note but getting border guards or the SQ to understand you may be a bit harder, a reasonable translation of fool hardy is imbécile.😁😁😁😁😁😁

Please post pictures of the following:  the departure, one scenic shot during ride, at least one nice meal shot, the roadside stop by QPP,  handcuffed picture, court appearance and jail cell. LOL. Hope to read a long Spyder ride post from you mid summer.

Im with you in spirit. One month of this is boring, but im up for it as long as it takes, dont like it but I will do it. Like I said before, If I cant get to Quebec next winter I will be sitting in my chair shaking like a crack addict. Maybe a pic of that will get me across.

Ok we have a new summer contest, forget what do we think the date the groomer will first pass,  how far do we think Playhard can get with his doctors note.👍

all the way, I think his wife is Canadian.

Thanks for the votes of confidence!

I'm saying I can be pretty convincing at being an "imbécile!"

Wherever that takes me, c'est la vie!

And Lucy's a Jersey Girl, with Bon Jovi & Springsteen on the playlist!

Hopefully the outfitters, lodges and relais that we stop at in the winter that also depend on summer tourism will be able to weather this storm. It could make getting rooms tough and carrying extra gas a must. Is the Canadian government stepping up to offer any monetary help to all the businesses?

As far as I know yes there will be compensation for all small businesses that have been forced to close or directly effected by the covid 19. At least that’s what Justin keeps saying.https://pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2020/03/27/prime-minister-announces-support-small-businesses-facing-impacts

No free lunches. Funds have to come from taxpayers.

Glad the small businesses are being respected not just mega corps.

Guess we will come out the other side of this with the US promoting buy from and support US based business and Canada doing the same while trying to reduce the flow of money headed China’s way. Lots of talk about that on Face Book these days “buy Canadian” is the theme.

With all the new talk of cancellations, recurring infections, and this thing lasting for who knows how long...I am beginning to have my doubts about being able to ride next season. My main concern is now beginning to focus on the outfitters and their survival...with out them, we all know there is no riding .I am hoping for a fast test and an anti-body vaccination, there are more people working on this around the globe, 24/7, than ever before...good chance something will come out of this, we can at least hope!!

As our Presidential election is in November. The border and snowmobiling in Canada will be a go for 2020-21

Doonali,

You are on the right track with that thought. When Trump starts to open things back up, watch what happens to the stock market and other things. He will become untouchable at election time. I still think around April 30th things will start trending towards a more positive environment. Also, the corrupt Democratic Party is going to get exposed just about in time for the Democrat convention by Attorney General Barr. Wouldn’t it be nice to see Comey, Hillary, Schiff, Pelosi, Biden and a few others escorted to jail in handcuffs!!!

Canada may not be too anxious to open its border to the US,  the country with the highest number of C-19 cases in the world.

Unfortunately we will never know true numbers...

Opening the Canadian border to non essential travel will be a decision made in Canada, not the US, and I do not think money is the issue here, people dying is the issue, thousands are walking off the job at US meat plants for fear of contracting this virus, nobody makes money with out a work force, this thing is a big disaster and nothing is going anywhere until people are healthy and safe, that is what I want for my employees and I will not ask them to do anything outside of that, I am on the floor with them all day.

Money means nothing if it is at the cost of people getting sick and dying. Stay safe.
