Since it seems clear that riding in Quebec this year will be limited to Quebec residents and a select few, it seems best to create a new set of forums to address this new reality. So we ask that you try to adhere to the following guidelines...

- Continue to contribute to the original QR forums with experiences or information specific to riding in Quebec. This could be trail reports or useful information from those stuck outside Quebec.

- COVID specific medical or political discussions should be in the general discussion sub-topic.

- Advice or experiences on how to get to and ride in Quebec this season should also be in general discussions.

- For those Canadian residents who can’t ride in Quebec but would like to discuss other options or their experiences in their province, please use the CA residents forum.

- For those US residents who can’t ride in Canada but would like to discuss other options or their experiences riding stateside, please use the US residents forum.

Covid-19: authorities must reveal all dataBy Patrick Provost and Christian Leray | opinions

Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.

The Government of Quebec and Public Health probably have data that would have made it possible to have a very different view of the pandemic. But the authorities are stubborn and refuse to share this essential data.

The publication of the Lockdown Files by The Telegraph newspaper allowed us to learn that the British authorities (and probably elsewhere) knew that COVID-19 did not pose a threat to the vast majority of the population.

Also read: “When will we deploy the new variant?” Lockdown Files explained

The publication of the Twitter files then made it possible to reveal the control by the authorities of the information circulating on social networks about COVID-19 and vaccines.

This allows us to suggest that the Government of Quebec and Public Health probably have data that would have allowed us to have a very different view of the pandemic and its consequences.

Lack of transparency from the authorities

This is how we were able to see that the authorities only published the data that supported their claim that COVID-19 was a serious threat to the health of the entire population and that vaccines were "safe and effective".

First, the focus on “cases” of people who are PCR positive, which means nothing in the absence of symptoms, has exaggerated the pandemic situation and instilled fear in the population.

Vaccine effectiveness in preventing infections was removed from the Institut national de la Santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) Twitter dashboard in January 2022, effective when vaccine effectiveness became negative ( against contamination).

The INSPQ then stopped updating deaths based on pre-existing medical conditions in May 2022 for no apparent reason. As for data relating to hospitalizations according to vaccination status , they were only available from July 2021 to July 2022.

The most important data, including deaths by vaccination status, have never been publicly disclosed. This is surprising, if not disturbing, at a time when the Quebec Institute of Statistics (ISQ) recognizes an unexplained increase in mortality of 10% (18% among young people).

We saw that the authorities only published the data that supported their claim that COVID-19 was a serious threat to the health of the entire population and that vaccines were "safe and effective".

-Christian Leray (MA) and Patrick Provost (PhD)

This observation should rather encourage the authorities to show transparency, to publish all the data on deaths according to vaccination status and to share with us their interpretations and explanations, which will quickly confirm (or deny) that vaccines are “safe and effective,” as touted from the earliest beginnings. This would solve the problem of transparency and pull the rug out from under the "conspiracy theorists".

Why this lack of transparency?

Unfortunately, the authorities are stubborn and refuse to share this data with the public. For what? The only possible explanation is that the data would show zero or even negative efficacy of the vaccines.

There are also the serious adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccines, which seem to be vastly underreported , and therefore also vastly underestimated, and constitute the blind spot of the pandemic . The Speaker of the British Parliament has just revealed a study showing a serious adverse effect in 990 people !

Unanswered questions

How are people vaccinated for less than 14 days counted?

At present, many questions, however essential, remain unanswered. For example, it is still unclear how the INSPQ and Santé Québec classified people who had received a dose of the vaccine and then contracted the disease within 14 days.

It is likely that the “unvaccinated epidemic” was actually a “vaccinated epidemic”.

-Christian Leray (MA) and Patrick Provost (PhD)

The manufacturers said a person was only considered 'protected' once the 'vaccine' had worked, that is 14 days after the first dose and 8 days after the second. If during this time, the person is not considered vaccinated, then the question is how it is categorized: vaccinated, non-vaccinated or other?

This categorization is paramount, as studies show an increased risk of infection within 14 days of COVID-19 vaccination. We can therefore imagine that people who are “vaccinated” and show symptoms of the disease in the following days are counted in the group of “unvaccinated” people, because they are not yet “protected”.

This classification would therefore have made it possible to explode the number of contaminations, hospitalizations and deaths in the group of unvaccinated people, to support the concept of the "pandemic of the unvaccinated" - leading to their ostracization, in particular during the second half of 2021 – and to justify the vaccination passport.

The 12 labors of Asterix

In order to resolve the authorities' lack of transparency and obtain answers to our questions, the use of the access to information request process revealed an administrative path worthy of the 12 works of Asterix.

The authorities are not very cooperative; they seem to do everything to delay the process (they have a 21-day response deadline and they can request an extension of this 30-day deadline), not to respond, to respond very evasively or to pass the buck between organizations.

Thus, despite numerous access to information requests, we still do not know if people infected within 14 days of their first dose (same for those infected within 8 days of subsequent doses) are classified as "vaccinated". or “unvaccinated”.

The silence of the authorities on this question, however clear and precise, suggests that this practice did indeed take place, otherwise they would have hastened to deny it. It is therefore likely that the “unvaccinated epidemic” was in fact a “vaccinated epidemic”.

It is also still unclear which agency is responsible for collecting the data; Santé Québec and the INSPQ passing the buck on this subject.

“Icing on the cake”: we still have not obtained data on deaths from all causes according to vaccination status… because Public Health says it does not have it! Indeed, in its response to our request , Santé Québec explains that it cannot "transmit data on deaths from any cause according to vaccination status, since to […] transmit this information would require producing a document and carrying out in particular work involving the extraction, compilation and comparison of data".

The request would be so complex and time-consuming that it “could seriously harm the activities of the organization”. Nothing less!

Some data, despite everything

Despite this lack of transparency, which constitutes an admission of the failure of the COVID-19 “vaccination” strategy, we were still able to obtain crucial information regarding deaths according to vaccination status.

The data sent to us by Health Quebec on this subject are staggering: they show that of the 7,150 deaths from COVID-19 since the fourth wave (from December 14, 2021 to June 19, 2022), 3,303 were “adequately vaccinated” while 147 were unvaccinated. Curiously, 3,700 dead had an “unknown status”, while the vaccination status of all Quebecers is nevertheless known to the authorities.

This finding on deaths is true for COVID-19 hospitalizations. Indeed, when Santé Québec stopped sharing data in July 2022, their own statistics showed that people who had received three doses, who then constituted 50% of the population, represented 70% of those hospitalized with COVID-19. This overrepresentation corresponded to a negative efficacy of the third dose of more than 20 percentage points.

We understand better why the authorities refuse to publicize the data and to explain their methodology for counting deaths and categorizing them according to vaccination status.

Public Health's own data goes against the discourse that has been hammered at us for months; vaccines being at best ineffective. Without forgetting that these data have probably been manipulated, as we have seen in particular by the use of a system classifying vaccinated people (0-14 days) as being unvaccinated.

It is highly deplorable, highly questionable and ethically troubling, if not dubious, that authorities continue to promote COVID-19 vaccines and claim that these vaccines are "safe and effective", when they are perfectly common that they are not the solution.

There is every reason to believe that the authorities' lack of transparency regarding public health data aims to maintain a contradictory discourse, which not only is not based on real public health data, but could be prejudicial to the population and constitute a real danger to public health.

All required data

All of this shows that there is a real problem with the management and dissemination of public health data, and therefore the public is likely to be misinformed or misinformed on the issue of COVID-19 and vaccines.

Unlike opacity, which is rarely in the public interest and raises doubt and distrust, transparency is the sign of a healthy democracy and likely to inspire confidence in our public institutions.

It is for this reason that we call for transparency and demand that the authorities make all public health data available and that they explain in detail the methodology used so that this data can be analyzed objectively and rigorously by experts. independent free from any conflict of interest.

Quebecers have the right to know.
