Anyone know of/receive a positive test result in QC while traveling?

Good afternoon!

Great to think about QC riding for a change! When you call Canadian Customs and Border Services, their answer to the question of whether we can leave Canada or not based on a positive test result (from their arrival test) is a general reply stating that if someone who’s a US citizen tests positive on the arrival test, that they MAY be able to leave Canada if they’re traveling solo in a vehicle. Does anyone have experience with this or know someone who has dealt with it?

With back log they have now it probably wont matter. We went up on Sunday and took our random test on Monday. It is Saturday and am back home and have not gotten test results yet?

My friend is a dentist and got a runny nose so he closed and had to wait 9 days to get a test...and was negative...he was closed 2 weeks for nothing...30k loss....only thing I wonder about is in the future if this happens to you when you get to the border ...are they going to say you skipped town on us with a positive test...you cannot come in??? Things are definitely not working the way they need too.

The Gov't site say's that they use Purolator Courier (owned by Canada Post) for the pick ups and that results would be 2-5 days for pickup by the courier and that courier or weather issues may extend getting results. If the courier picked up yours on Monday and they had no issues, the results should have been available by Saturday.

We took our test Monday morning, but they didnt pick them up until Tuesday afternoon. The courier came from Montreal? We were back home Friday night and did not get results until late Saturday. When we went up before Xmas they got results next day. Maybe school starting up this week has them backed up?

It’s just a shit show and they have no clue what they are doing. The stewardess is in the pilots seat. Hang on.

Seriously what a waste of time. Testing is bullshit.
