Mac
Our group waited to long to plan this final trip of four days. We are arriving Wednesday 23rd. I'm not sure where to go. We are not saddlebaging. I love the Gaspe and can see they have plenty of snow. The snow depth map looks good in the Quebec city area. The Valins are awesome both are far 12 hours travel for us. Are there any other options where they are still grooming? We were planning Saint Zenon and they are not looking good. PLAYHARD
markusvt
Zenon generally calls it early for grooming. Edited March 21, 2022 by markusvt PLAYHARD and iceman
Fuse6
We just got home from the Gaspe yesterday and there is a ton of snow there. Not sure where your coming from Mac but for day tripping Riviere Du Loup maybe best option. l’m sure Iceman or Playhard will be reporting tonight. I believe they departed from RDL this morning. iceman and PLAYHARD
Mac
Ive never paid attention to that FMCQ groomed trail map. I can see clearly at this time of year its essential. I thank you both for the recommendation. It does look like Rivier Du Loup has snow and still grooming. PLAYHARD

Posted Saturday at 04:34 PM Naturally, weekend congestion rules apply 3x, as area options become more limited. Stay somewhere that'll hold your truck/trailer keys, in case you want them to hire someone to come retrieve you. We're looking at riding out of Riviere du Loop for a Gaspésie loop, and St Felician for Pacman'ing up & over Lac St Jean (but don't go telling anybody). 14-Day forecasts courtesy of Iceman Productions Ltd... https://www.meteomedia.com/ca/tendance-meteo-14-jours/quebec/saint-felicien https://www.meteomedia.com/ca/tendance-meteo-14-jours/quebec/matane Posted Saturday at 04:40 PM Please pardon here, if you already know: Always always always stay glued to grooming updates, every morning after 7:00am, on iMoto or the same on the FCMQ interactive map: https://fcmq.qc.ca/en/snowmobilers/imotoneige/ https://fcmq.fcmqapi.ca/carte-motoneige/indexen.html#map Click on the snowflake icon in the upper right corner, then click on "Grooming" zeusand and iceman
PLAYHARD
I never noticed this screen message before, maybe because I'd packed it in and stopped looking too early in previous seasons?... MrGutz
dooright
I just noticed for the first time a few days ago as well 🤔 PLAYHARD
800steve
Mt Valin is very good right now, from the ski area to Escomins. Chapel will close after this weekend, dont know about Km31. Lots of snow, but cant imagine grooming will go much more than one more week. Other areas are showing alot of running water and trails closing. Mac
This loop around the Chic-Choc mountains and Gaspesie National Park is my all time favorite quebec trip. PLAYHARD
smclelan
I have no doubt snow levels are still very good in most areas of the Gaspe, however coming down to lower elevations for services and road crossings would be challenging for sure. zeusand, markusvt and PLAYHARD

Finally got my VAX and ready to head up. Rode in Maine most of this year and some weekends on the hill in NY.
