  1. Bill I do remember that night. We were all happy that they were ok.
  2. Thanks for the updates. Will see you soon.
  3. I am thinking of purchasing a pair of battery heated gloves. Does anyone have any feedback regarding heated gloves?
  4. Today we went for lunch at Mont-Apica. Started at the Delta in Chicoutimi. Took 83 to Hébertville and 23 to Mont-Apica. On the way back we took 23, 368 and 383. All trails were in excellent condition with fresh powder. As we got close to Mont-Apica we had around 4 to 6" of fresh snow. Daniel and Colette
  5. Not to many hints on this photo except for the blue sign in the distance. Daniel
  6. 2 red GSX, that is correct. Got a little bit of snow last night. This morning we are going to Mont-Apica for lunch. Daniel
  7. We arrived at Delta hotel Sunday Monday we went to Relais des Lac in Labreque. Came back by Alma. Nice trails but heavy winds with blowing snow. All trails were well groomed. Today we went to Relais Mont-Vilain. Came back to the Delta by Bégin. Another nice day on well maintained trails. Tonight at least 20 sleds in the pool area so far. Daniel and Colette
  8. Today we went to Onatchiway. Crossed the Aluminum Bridge and headed toward St-Ambroise on a freshly groomed trail. From St-Ambroise we took trail # 93, 367, 328, 482 and 484 to Onatchiway for lunch. All trails were in excellent condition with 4 to 6" of fresh snow on trail 476 and 484. After lunch we took trail 476, 328 and 367 back to the bridge. Overall it was an excellent day.
  9. Today we started our ride at 12:00 pm due to the cold morning. Trail from the Delta hotel to the aluminum bridge are in good condition. When we crossed the Saguenay river we rode local trail 137. It was also in good condition with some areas having some 3 to 4 foot drifts. We then turned left on trail 328 and had lunch in St-Ambroise This trail was in very good shape especially the potato fields. From St-Ambroise back to the Aluminum bridge was in need of some grooming. Overall it was a good day but very cold. Trails had a hard base with a little bit of loose snow to keep the sled cool. Tomorrow we will try to go the Onatchiway fro lunch. Daniel
  10. We arrived today at the Delta. It has been 7 year since our last snowmobile ride. At 4:00 pm it was -17 celsius in Quebec City and 1 hour later driving through Reserve des Laurentide it was -31 celsius. When we arrived at the Delta it warmed up to -29 around 6:30 pm. There are 3 trucks and trailers in the fenced in area. Not too many sled in the pool area. The trails appeared to be ok from the road. Will try to give an update tomorrow on the conditions of the trails around town.
  11. Hi Bill Colette and I will arrive at the Holiday Inn tomorrow. Save us a spot at the diner table Daniel
  12. Hi Bill The more I read your posting the more I regret cancelling the trip that I had planned for this week. Are Fran and Judy at the hotel. If they are say hi for Colette and I. Glad you guys are having fun and we will see you in early February. Daniel
  13. I would not be worried for the 19th. The best place to stay is the Holiday Inn in Chicoutimie. Secure parking area for the trucks and sleds and also new this year they have video surveillance of the parking area. The phone # is 1-800-363-3124. You can also check there add on this forum by clicking on Quebec Rider Advertisers. If you look at the 14 day forecasts, it looks pretty good. Saguenay Bill should be at the Holiday Inn by then and you will be able to get some daily accurate trail conditions on this forum.
  14. I am also trying to decide if I should go up this weekend. We have reservations at the Holiday Inn from the 12 to the 19. Not sure if I should bring my sled or my boat........
