  1. Indeed....I live in Québec. I've been part of this site since day 1. I am tired of seeing US politics BULLSHIT on a site dedicated to snowmobiling in Québec.

  2. I don’t know who wrote this but SOMEONE FINALLY put into words what many of us have been thinking and I couldn't agree more! I’m sick of covid-19. I’m sick of blacks vs. whites. I’m sick of Democrats vs. Republicans. I’m REALLY sick of the media. I’m really sick of the wearing a mask debate. I’m sick of no one being allowed to think what they want & feel how they do without offending someone. I am sick of the people who are out there jumping on the bandwagon just to spread hatred. And start riots, looting & destroying others properties. I am sick of blaming the world for the sins of a few. We’re one race - the human race. You want to support Trump? You do it! It’s your choice! You want to support Biden? You do it! It's your choice! You want to believe in God? You do it! It's your choice. You want to believe in magical creatures that fly around & sprinkle fairy dust to make life better? Awesome... you do it!! BUT how about being MATURE enough to be able to deal with the fact that everyone doesn’t have the same exact mind-set as you. Having our own mind-set is what makes us all individuals and beautiful. If you can’t handle that fact....oh well! I don’t have to agree with everything you believe in & YOU don’t have to agree with me. It's your choice! It's my choice! Just be a decent human being.

  4. Exactly the same here, it always feels like I going home when I hit the trail, did a solo 2000 mile ride last season at 62, everyday was a great adventure catching up with friends and meeting them out on the trail, nothing better!!

  7. I want to believe and hope that QuebecRider will go back to being a snowmobile site of friendships, old and new, free of that which might divide those friendships. Lets get back in the saddle, and be a team again. mike

  8. First ride in Quebec 1986. Well over 125,000 miles later I have made the best LIFELONG friends ever on both sides of the border 😍

  9. Absolutely the very best part of being out on the trail has been all the friendships I have been able to cultivate over the last 32 years, with riders and lodge owners and their employees.Never once have I ever considered the color of anyone's skin, what church they go to, who or where they live, or what they do for a living. Only thing that matters is we treat one another properly. The camaraderie out on the trail is equal to being out on the road riding a motorcycle, where everyone is quick to lend a helping hand for anyone in need.I have been most fortunate to meet a lot of people out there with these qualities. I spent a week with snow master last March, our official ambassador of indigenous affairs. Anyone who is on here and followed his posts, knows well he lives by these standards, as do many more. MIKE THANK YOU FOR THIS POST, IT IS ALL THAT REALLY MATERS AT THE END OF EACH DAY, BE WELL, BOB.

  11. Mike, we have a camp on Umbagog by the Rapid River. You are right North West Maine is very nice, like you said, weekends will be busy, both Maine and New Hampshire saw a tremendous amount of growth this year in the ATV riders, I am sure with Canada closed to us there will be a lot more sleds this year. Tuesday thru Thursday will be nice.

    Covid 19 Discussion

For those going to Aroostook County this winter: I have ridden tens of thousands of miles in Aroostook during the '90's and into the mid 2000's. It is very good riding and I always enjoyed it. The people there are amazing. Don't expect the number of trails per square mile as Quebec, or the number of loops, or the consistent snow conditions (although northern Aroostook is a safe bet). I always found less traffic than other Maine snow belt areas. I found I could usually count on a rough trail or two by the end of the day, but most trails were very nicely groomed.. Need service, the dealers are top notch. And the food is amazing!!! And don't forget other Maine hot spots like Rangeley, Jackman, Moosehead and Millinocket that are part of the western Maine mountain snowbelt. These can be busy on weekends but midweek riding is awesome and they all come with great scenery. And, they are a shorter drive than Aroostook County. There are some great places to stay while in Maine. Maybe not the plushness or amenities of Quebec, but they will be clean and comfortable.

    RDL 2021: Plan B

Mike, quebec is having it,s challenges with covid. They are just now restricting even people from other provinces entering Quebec. Plan B for sure. From here looks as no way border will open anytime soon. Hope everyone can make the best of the winter to come.

Annie lavoie is with Sebastien Dionne at Friends of the forest . THEmcttTherbeSrThe lpThetstftnfs1td Thendarft l9:ffne08n AMed · Saint-Antonin, QC · Good morning dear snowmobile friends ... As you all know, the more time goes by, the more difficult it is to be in customer service with all the standards imposed on us ... It is with great sadness that we announce that this season, we will not be at the helm of the club. Too many uncertainties about what the pandemic can cause. It's only a postponement ... we cross our fingers saying see you next year and who knows, we will surely meet on the trails Be careful, you are our customers, our friends, our winter family

The good news is that they will be reopening, hopefully we can put this behind us by next fall, but I do believe it is clear that being indoors this winter is too big of a risk. I hope they can be open during the warm months for ATV when being inside is not such an issue. This is only the start of this news, here is to wishing for the very best to our friends North of the border, who have worked tirelessly for us and our enjoyment over the years.
