TQ 23 Shawinigan to St. Alexis des Monts

  • Gold Donating Member

Lost right of passage. Club now forced to try and convince the Ville of Shawinigan to Allow passage on the road for the trail for 500 meters. Not sure that it will get a yes.

club de motos neige de la Maurice is also advising same issues with right of passage for the Local M-4 in Shawinigan.

The are letting people know before they buy their pass. Which goes on sale monday.

no bueno

Ice, why all the trail closures? People riding off trail? Money?

In this instance for the TQ 23, the land owner is a farmer and people just cannot stay on the trail.

Towards the end of last season he threatened to shut down the trail because of this and the club was able to convince him to leave it open to finish the season.

He simply did not renew his right of passage. Has had enough.

The M-4 i am not sure exactly which owner is blocking passage there it could be a victim of this deal with the 23.

This is the future as too many just have no respect and think they can ride wherever they want, sadly we will lose many more I fear.

Iceman, l can’t tell from the map but will this effect the access to Drakkar at all?
Planning a Lac St Jean/Mont Valin loop this winter and considering staging from Drakkar.

Also recall you posting pics of Reggie doing some major landscaping project.  Does he still have ample truck parking to leave truck and trailers there for a week ? Thanks

No issue for a Drakkar with this. This is the other side of the river. On 23 it will affect those heading to points west or say towards St Michael des Saints /cabanon etc.

Plenty of Room at Drakkar with Reggie for trucks and trailers, no worries.

Good to go.
