2026 Rivière du Loup Trail Condition

Things are off to a good early start this year me and Mike both arrived yesterday afternoon. Did 215 miles today over to Rimouski then to Squatec with a stop at the ski hill in Biencourt for lunch then back to RDL. Overall conditions are excellent some thin areas mainly in open fields and areas where wind blows hard and some brush in some places in the trail typical early season stuff but conditions are very good and we were both very happy riding today 80% was excellent and the other 20% good to fair definitely worth a trip for sure! Rode Ft Kent to Escourt Station today. Trails are great overall. Few spots thin. Great ride.

If it warms too much this week up it will hurt and fast….but 6” of snow and it’ll be mid season. The base is solid.

Hoped to cross onto Pohemamook Lake for gas and lunch at 2 arches but the Canadian Border Crossing is closed. I don’t get it. We spend a lot of money there this time of year. US sides open. 🤨
