I have ridden in Quebec about 10 times, at least 1000 miles a trip and have never seen a cop. And never had my sticker checked. Unless they do it when I'm away from sled?

Not that I would ever not get the permit. Nor am I saying that people shouldn't get one. The trails are awesome for a reason..

Its just an observation. Maybe because I ride in the less populated areas?

Now for just the opposite. I was on a trip. Hotel had no passes. 5 minutes into 4 day loop club president stops us. Paid "OOPS price" on the trail. After trip, loaded up and next morning all was gone. Few weeks later called club pres to get a replacement sticker for new sled. His reaction to what happened was a shock to me. Things that make you go HMMMM. I now ride a lot in Saguenay region with little concern and purchase passes from Saguenay Bill beforehand.
