  1. It's all part of the adventure!

Unfortunately I am out of commission for the season after a C 5 C 6 disectomy and fusion yesterday for a herniated disc from a rear ender on 78 W

Been battling for over a year and finally gave up....feel better already!

I've been in the same boat for 1 1/2 year now but I'm only 45 and refuse to give in to fusion. Only thing that helps is chiropractor for short term relief. I wish you the best of luck! I know exactly where your coming from.

  2. RDL has very low snow conditions. I was there Wednesday night. Headed out local trails south of Hotel Universal towards Montmagny. Thin for about 20 miles. Beauce area has perfect conditions all the way to Thetford Mines! We left Derby vt into NH and crossed into Qc. Traveling to St George's. next day to RDL. Thursday along river then east back to st George's. Friday back to u.s. at Jackman to meet up with 5 other buddy's at Moosehead Lake. Saturday all 7 of us headed across Maine, NH and back to Derby VT! 1300 miles of great to poor conditions. It's a mix bag changing every few miles. All in all another great trip!!

  3. Day 2 we left Scoobyraid and crossed over the river and took the local trail to Onatchiway for gas. from there it was south to 93 where we turned left and headed for Tadoussac. I was glad my sled was "broke in" at this point with about 350 miles on it! Lets just say those big long straight aways and flat smooth grooming was alot of fun!! We stopped at the Coronet for gas and lunch then down Tq 3 to the ferry. Crossed the ferry at sunset and found a perfectly groomed trail for about 15 miles where we found the drag in the trail. A short time after that we ran into the groomer broke down with 4 guys working underneath it.it was a long bumpy ride until about 25 miles from the casino where we spent the night. Great snowmobile package at $183 for a room, dinner and breakfast. $91.50 per person. They got a little more back at the casino bar tho!! Day 3 was saturday and a beautiful sunny day. Trails were groomed perfect and there was plenty of snow until just south of Relais St Anne where the snow was thin on the endless miles of powerlines we rode. It must have been very windy and blown the snow off. It got better the closer we got to St Raymond. Day 1 we rode 252 miles. Day 2 was 265 miles. Day 3 was 180 miles. ended up with just a little under 700 on the new sled and had a great trip!

  4. We made the trip to St Raymond in the truck on wednesday. Left the Roquemont around 8 am and crossed over the frozen St Anne river to TQ 23. First 5 miles were a little boney but passible and it just got better from there. Stopped at L Etape for gas and food. We got to Mt Apica to find it was closed. There was a guy from NH there with two sleds and no gas! We offered him our gas but His wife had just left with a couple that was nice enough to take her to get gas. It was a little thin after that and really didnt get great until just north of Ski Bee Doo(Where we stopped for soup and a beer). Once across the river the conditions were great all the way to Scoobyraid where Marie Christine was waiting for us! She is a great host and made us "The Mountain of Meat" for dinner. Cant thank her enough, we will be back! We had a few drinks and alot of laughs with her then it was off to sleep.

  5. That would be a very ambitious one day ride for this early in the season. There could be plenty of obstacles along the way for sure..... Plan A ,B, and C might all get used !

HAHA! Thats probably very true! So how about some ideas for a doable ride to Scooby Raid. I figured 215 miles wasnt going to be that bad but on further review( and listening to everyones advice) Im open to suggestions! Thanks in Advance
