  3. I assume MXZ700RIDER you either can not read or don't trust what has been posted about conditiions ,etc..on here??? You keep asking or wanting the same damn info and questions that have been answered time and time again... Some directly to your posts,, but you turn around and request the same info on the very same day,, it is like you don't hear them or don't trust info posted... Direct honest answers and trust is what makes this site great,,,, You have the right to post all over this board ( for which you have done with repeated same questions and comments) but don't keep acting like a first grader.. use some common sense,,,,, Like when you you asked,,, "what is the trail conditions going to be like in two weeks" ?? this is directly from one of your posts,,,How can that be answered?? Weather conditions change dude,, Next time, hit the 'ENGAGE BRAIN' button before posting some of your questions. Simply read a little,, do your homework and 90% of your questions are answered,,,,

  4. Fuzzy, Jean-guy and I are too young for that side by side stuff...we both like the 4 wheelers for now anyway.

There would be some advantages for sure, but not yet! lol

Jean-guy! Next Thanksgving when I don't have a son getting married...I will be there again!

    Hi Linda,,

I just assumed the pics were JG's new ride,, Then your pic beside the machine??? ,,Okay, you got really confused now ,,,which does not take much anymore,LOL. Wife and I are still on ATV's here ( w/ EPS , which is the only way to go to be super comfortable in the rough/rocky stuff,,,IMO,, just no handlebar 'kick back' .. ) but a SxS is a good possibilty for her in the near future??? Not for me just yet, staying on my ATV,,,, but she is kinda thinking 'driving' more like a car, bucket seats, more protection from the elements and etc,, might just be a very good fun factor too,, Dealers selling a zillion SxS's here in our state,, You need to get over to the Gaspe, right after your son's wedding,,get a few klicks on that machine, before the snow piles up,, ,Groomer will be a happy, happy camper. fuzzy

  5. Wow, would that be a fantastic development. For many years that ride down thru the gorge to

Clermont was my favorite trail in Quebec. One of the neatest places to stay in Charlevoix was the Auberge des Hautes Gorges, right at the bottom of the run, just after you crossed the last bridge over the Malbaie. The Potatoe Brothers enjoyed the hospitality and the food there many times.

Sadly, the main/best part of the gorge is in a NATIONAL PARC and based upon recent Quebec governmental policy towards snowmobiles in national parks (read: what just happend in Tremblant Park in Lenaudiere) I don't believe there is much of a chance of that happening. Quebec gov policy is to keep us out of ALL of them. Treehuggers are just too strong. We're damn lucky to still be riding in some of the Reserves.

    Timbo,

The "Potato Brothers" your refer too,, are they from Long Island?? Use to run into some farm guys pretty often from Long Island , NY that grew potatoes. Last time we crossed paths maybe 10/12 years ago or plus, time flys?? Forgot their names and not sure about being brothers. That gorge area was a very nice scenic ride ( if not the best a very close second) now missed by a lot of sledders. Little bit more chilly when deep within the steep stone canyon walls I recall. LOL,,, Uphill climb against all the treehuggers and gov regs when it comes to NATIONAL PARKS,, even in this country. Long time to hold your breath on this possible re-opening,, sure hope I am wrong. Just not good what is happening to this industry and other off road industry's either, no ________COMMON SENCE.

  6. Thanks Timbo for the update/info.. in some "little" ways I kinda miss the good old days and those "big days" of riding you mention.,,,LOL,, Double divider trails, mixed oil in gas cans and solid front end leaf springs was the norm in those days,,Maybe $1850 / $2000 total for a "fully dressed" new 400 Indy at the time???? You are 100% correct when going to St-D from La-Glacier was a big trip. Even over to John Kubec's was "big".. funny stuff now,, ,hells bells we even carried a extra spring when going around Lac St-Jean in those days while leaving from St-Michelle area.. how things have changed,,,, My first trip was '80/81 winter, with the guys,, got "hooked" big time,,then wife joined in on the fun all the following years.. We andall our riding buds always hit the restaurant on main street, right in town, on the corner( forget the name) parked out back,, Very sled friendly and good food... I assume it is still there?? Thanks for the memeries. fuzzy

The restaurant is Le Coin (the corner). It's still there and operating, but under its 6th owner since you last dined there, LOL. Last time I looked (lastwinter) it was a "Broasted Chicken" spot. There is still plenty of sled parking in the lot downhill at the back in front of the sporting goods store (the Vienneau) which went out of biz last winter.

great thinking about the old days. where in PA are you, fuzzy?

    timbo

Timbo,, About 50 "klicks" directly east of Harrisburg,, Lancaster/Chester County line,,, Fuzzy
