  1. Boy Fuzzy Im glad you dont ride with me, you have no compasion for the sick or badly injured.

Yes,There is compasion if a man has a problem!! "Been there and done that" with my own health issues that has kept me on the side lines sometimes with no Canada sled trips with my freinds, Yes it is a little problem and all the fun factor is missing,,, BUT why on earth a normal thinking man should be bashing and trashing his "buddies" because they would NOT stay home from what they love to do,,, Just because you are out of the game for a few weeks,, That's not a true "freinds" way of thinking in my book !! And yes,, I would still say BY BY,,

  2. My stars guy!! Why would you NOT want your "buddies" to go sleddin ??? Now you want to trash them!!! Or did you want them to stay home and babysit you like some 100 year old man?? You are only talking two weeks to be ready/fit yourself, season is not lost,, What would happen (for some surprise reason) your were layed up for 4/5 weeks or all season,, I guess you would expect buddies just sit home with their high priced equipment,,NOT have fun or enjoy what they love to do?? GET REAL !!! Just because you are not "up to par" is no resaon to go on here and bash your buddies. If I was your so called "buddies",,, I would say BY, BY,,, for GOOD !!! Maybe I am missing something here ?? But two and two does not add up to four with all your trashing for such a little problem!!!

  3. Mr. fuzzy600ho, I do not ride atv in Maine. I have a friend that does and there kind of strict up there. There are a lot of trails, but they don't all connect. So it is difficult to do a long trip. If you ride on the dirt roads, the fish cops will give you a ticket. Also they do not allow atv riding in the 3 million acre Allagash region. The time it takes me to drive to northern Maine is the same or more than to go to Quebec. In Quebec they are much more friendly to atv riding. The atv trail will ride on the road right done main st. in the center of town. I have ridden quads during summer in Quebec for the past 13 years. This year switching to a 2011 rzr side by side. Yes I very happy with it .It is same width as a quad, so it fits on the tight trails. Has soft ride on rocky trails. You will need to buy some extras though. Full skid plates, 2'" lift, big tires, winch, roof, windshield. The other quad is an Outlander 800. Very nice machine.

Hi JG, how do I do it. First of I told my wife before we got married that I don't like the beach and take my vacation time in Quebec. Next, I try to keep my mouth shut every time she goes to the mall!

THANKS GOOSE FOR THE INFO,, YOU DO NOT GET "CRAMPED" UP IN THE RZR AFTER AWHILE ON THE TRAIL? THAT'S WHAT GOT ME FROM PULLING THE TRIGGER FROM BUYING A RZR,, SORRY FOR CALLING YOUR OUTLANDER A SPORTSMAN'S,, JUST THOUGHT THAT WAS MACHINE IN THE BACKGROND OF YOUR PIC,,,GUESS I NEED A PAIR OF GLASSES, FUZZY 600HO

  4. HEY GOOSE,

THANKS FOR THE PICS. INTERESTING AND VERY GOOD RIDING IN CANADA TO DO TRIPS OR DISTANCE RIDING. NEVER ATVed IN THAT AREA ( JUST SLEDDING ),, MOSTLY ST ZENNON,ST MICHEAL,and north,, LITTLE AROUND ST DONAT, ALL A FEW YEARS BACK.

TELL ME HOW YOU LIKE THE RZR , OR THAT TYPE OF MACHINE. I AM SURE IT IS NOT YOUR "FIRST DAY ON THE JOB " RIDING AND YOU HAD A ATV BEFORE THE RZR.

WAS THINKING ABOUT GOING WITH A RZR800 FOR MYSELF, (HAVE TWO SPORTSMAN's 550's NOW WHICH ARE GREAT, no EPS however). WIFE WANTS TO STAY ON A "ATV" FOR HER SELF,,SO RZR WOULD BE MY RIDE. TALL GUY HERE,,KINDA THINKING I WOULD GET "CRAPPED UP" AFTER AWHILE ON TRAIL??, HAULING THE TRIPS GOODS/GAS WOULD BE A LITTLE NICER/EASIER MAYBE! NICE TRAIL,GRAVEL OR BUSH ROAD MACHINE THAT FITS CANADA GREAT,IMO,,, BUT I AM STILL NOT THERE OR CONVINCED TO BUY A RZR YET??? ANY COMMENTS GOOD or BAD WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

YOU HAVE A SPORTSMAN ALSO,( I THINK ) WITH A GAS BUDDY ON BACK RACK? DOING GOOD FOR YOU GUYS?

DO YOU RIDE IN ME. AT ALL?,,WE KINDA LIKE THE JACKMAN AREA,, CROSSED THE BORDER THERE ( on ATV'S)LAST SUMMER BUT NO MAJOR RIDING INTO CANADA.

THANKS MOOSE, ENJOY YOUR FALL RIDING,,, Fuzzy 600HO

  5. all yesterday !!

fuzzy600ho ,checked this morning before coming back ,7985 clicks !!!

    groomer !!! :drinks:

That's a lot of "clicks"Groomer,, Hells Bells, around here if machine has 2000 / 2500 clicks some people think worn out, junk,,, not the truth at all if you service and take care of 4 wheeler,,,You can use very hard,, BUT service and maintance the key. Like your new "sneakers" on machine too ,, I see why you needed new tread with all the mud/wet you are going thur to get a "little" load of wood,, HA HA Don't believe a man could get one addtition stick on machine,,, Great pics,, as always.

  6. saw a female about half mile from the camp this morning.she was in a ''shadow '' area,so ,my reaction time was nt too fast.no pics.

then about half a mile further ,another moose on the road.he was so far ,could nt tell what it was ,about 900'.started to walk.so ,the bull is the guilt about the leg of the tree stand..saw him for 15-20 mins.while walking ,there was another one calling on the left side of the road.

after that ,went in a small clearcut,i was on way to put my foot on the ladder ,lots of noise.hurried up to see what it was.another female ,she started to run and whooopsss!! the calf.she ''clutched '' for the road ,about 400' away .climbed down the stree stand runned ,''wide open '' for the road.almost perfect timing !!!

did nt even wait 5 ''.here s the mom+calf crossing the road!!!

with all the calls i heard, there was 7-8 mooses on our territory .by 7 45 am ,i returned to that tree stand ,with the missing leg.i could hear a coyote barking maybe 2-3 miles !!

suddently ,there was one in the clearcut less than 800' from .he started to bark.whoooooooooooooooooo!!!whoooooooo!!

i thought it was the fire truck coming !!ha!!ha!!ha!!

  7. GREAT PICS GROOMER, ( AS ALWAYS ) MUCH BETTER PICS THAN A LOT OF MAGAZINES,, WHICH YOU PAY FOR!!! NO QUESTION HERE, YOU ARE VERY VERY GOOD WITH A CAMERA,, YOU NEED TO PUT A "COIN BOX" OUT ON THE TRAIL,,,, YOU WOULD HAVE "DONATIONS" DUE TO THE QUIALITY AND INFO YOU POST,, ( A MOOSE MIGHT RAID YOUR BOX HOWEVER,, HA HA ) AS SOMEONE SAID BEFORE, ON ANOTHER POST,, YOU KEEP REMINDING US OF THE GREAT AREA,,, BOTH SUMMER AND WINTER THAT WE JUST CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF,, THANKS, AND CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE SUMMER,,

  10. fuzzy in english those rock piles are called "Carins" you use them to guide yourself when there is no visibility. Above tree line they are trail markers no other way to mark the trails. I have been in the presidentials when you can't see from one to another and they are only 50' apart...

Thanks Phil 1,, I am not that "educated" on mounttain climbing,,now I know !!!

  11. smclelan came up here yesterday afternoon.this morning we went in the chic-chocs to climb mount hog's back.awesome day .not too cold ,only very windy for the last half mile while on top.

  14. Oui allo Jean-guy, comment ca va?

Groomer, I think I can say on behalf of all QR members that we LOVE your pictures. Keep the ones of the Chic Chocs comming. We were riding in the Adirondacks today and I saw a sign that said watch for groomer. I kept my eyes open, but I did not see you. Wish we would have, cause it looks like you keep TQ5 in immaculate shape. Probably not this year, but hopefully next year I can meet up with you out on the trail, none other than La Coulee Verte D'Abertville!

    Later, Jim!

    :drinks:

Hey MCC,,, Where is that pic taken??I assume in NY,,,, this year?? great photo!!!!

  15. Jw if anyone has tried out four-wheeling in Quebec during the off-season. Seems like it would be pretty fun to take some of those trails and hit up some of the more remote lakes for some fishing. Please chime in and share some of your summer excursion experiences, with pics!

Been there three times,, in the last couple years, however we did missed last year because of a health problem, had to miss this past sled season too, which was very painful with all the great snow conditions,,, ( St. Michael area) There is alot of atv's for sure,,, Kinda like sledding ,but a much slower pace . Chance to look around and "explore" if you like,,,Flies/bugs never that bad when we were there,, Kinda neat to see all the open water/lakes,,,,see moose and bear sometimes too,, Just pack your bags( and lunch) and you can pretty much travel any distance you want,,,check in to a hotel and do it all over again the next day,,,,Not all trails are open but most roads are "legal" game,, Wife and I really enjoy the summer too in Quebec,,, Atv touring is a dirty/dusty sport but thats what showers are for!!!! Good luck, have fun,,, H. Mcgowan PA
