where did you stay in saint pamphile? might be heading up that way this year.
There's a real nice B&B about 30 - 40 miles east beyond St. Pamphile off the the TQ35, across from the Relais 540. It's a real quick ride from St. Pamphile as about 25 of those miles is railbed. We make it a point to get there at least once a season, sometimes a couple times in a season. Real nice folks and fabulous meals. Here's a link.

Andre at the Relais 540 is a seller of these and could probably answer your questions. I know he has hosted a demo day a few times over the past couple of years. He's off the TQ35 in Bas St-Laurent. You can find him under the regional forum for Bas St-Laurent. Having spoken with him on these he says the trick is low ski pressure which makes for easy turning yet your hooked like you're on rails. Just what I've been told, I haven't run these so I have no first hand experience.

Think I earned my pilots license on that trail.

Haven't ridden in the states for about 5 years now (save for the 15 miles or so from Jackman to the border). Quebec or nothing for me.

6 hours, are you guys stopping for a card game somewhere?
Just kidding, that's about right. You're riding 2 up right?
We usually take about 2 hours for lunch, so 4 hours on the machine.

That shouldnt be a problem. Means we can leave at 10am then....
I was thinking more of having lunch at the HI at noon....
-
Did that trip a few weeks ago, we left the HI at 7am and arrived at the Hotel Roqumont at 1pm. 200 miles....
There's our bogey doobraap. Got to get it in under 6 hours.

I was up there this past weekend with doobraap. We rode from Jackman, ME to Rivier-du-Loup on Saturday and back to Jackman on Sunday. We took the 75-35-545-5-526-5-561-35-55-75, all in good to great shape. A little frozen rain on Saturday night.

Just took a quick trip in the Chaudière and Bas St Laurent regions this past weekend. Rode from Jackman ME. to Mt. Carmel (Near Relais 540).
Took TQ 75 north from the border to Greenie 545 over to TQ 55 East then to TQ 35 East in Tourville. All trails were near perfect. Lots of snow. Not a lot of traffic out there considering it was a weekend.
We came back home through Beauceville and even St Georges trails were great. Gas was about .85C/liter
Turned 10K miles on the odometer too. Hope she holds together for the season!!!
All in all a great weekend.
I did that same trip this weekend. Must have passed each other on the trail.

Hi Bill,
We are all planning on going. Sunday more than likely.

SIPPY HOLE...Looks more like a tall drink. Is that from last January's rain??
That was 3-4 years ago just outside of Beauce. It rained and rained then turned to snow. Water was everywhere.

Thanks Everyone. I am looking forward to getting stuck AGAIN this year.
Oh and by the way Big Braap at least when I get stuck they don't have to bring in a truck to get me out. Remember this day....
All too well I have to say, that trip was fraught with issues from the get go. Thought we'd have to leave the sled there til springtime as the temps plummeted from like 40 to 0 in about 2 hours and it was looking like that sippy hole was about to freeze up solid. Do you have a picture of the other sled's bellypan resting on my rear bumper, that tells the real story.

Just teasing doobraap. He knows how much I like digging him out year after year. I'm buying him one of these for his birthday.

Have a good one. Let's not get stuck this year.

The river cossing at St. george's?????????????????
Looks too wide for that crossing. Here's a picture of the river in St. George. Took the shortcut instead of the bridge.

Here is an easy one.
It's in the Gaspe on 5. I believe its beyond Mont St-Pierre heading east towards, Madeleine?

I was in St. George this past weekend (1/29 - 1/31). Rode St. George, Beauce, and over to Thetford Mines. The coverage was pretty thin from my seat. The trails were hard as a rock from the rain and then the cold temperatures, not much of a base, lot's of ice. Now if they received significant snow this week then things might be in better shape but last weekend was pretty rough. Just my .02. BB
