  1. Need a little help guys .Anybody ever stayed at Vermillon or Club Odanak? Pros and Cons of either place. Doesn't have to be fancy. Good bed and good food.

Odanak is owned by an Indian tribe. In the last few years, they have made an effort to attract more sledders. They have a museum room of mounted animals that a previous owner hunted, which is interesting.

  2. I am confused..treated like cattle...??? It's a self serve gas bar in the middle of nowhere,no other choices, paying minimum wage, with no english(probally but,I'm not sure)with every one of us getting there after not seeing much snow south of there, saying OMG look at the snow(when they are sick of it), and bitching how hard it is too pull the hills to that point, and asking how far it is too the next town Saguenay or Quebec...and BLA BLA...then complaining even more about everything being in French... I'm Just sayin...by the end of my work season in November(seasonal summer only), the last thing I want to hear is "can you beleive it..it's supposed to go to 20c next week ..F OFF I say" ..sometimes people have the right to be grumpy!! where's the damn snow!!! lol.

You'd be right at home at the Esso

  3. Dear Enthusiast,

Despite the anemic winter we have seen so far in the north east United States, Quebec's winter season is in full swing. We ran our "Big Bore" trip last week and were blessed with very good conditions over 1324 miles!

Up next is the Gaspe trip, which takes place March 19-23, 2012. If you are not familiar with this region of Quebec, you owe it to yourself to learn what makes it so special for sledding.

The Gaspe Peninsula is roughly the size and shape of the state of Florida, but running east to west and is located north of the state of Maine. The interior of the Gaspe is dominated by the Chic Chock mountains. These are flat top mountains created by glaciers millions of years ago and they extend to the coast line in many places. The contrast of the mountains against the sea make for spectacular imagery and a saddle bag trip around the Gaspe provides days of this type of scenery.

The Gaspe trip for 2012 is a five day/six night guided adventure trip where every foot forward is new and every night's lodging is different. Please do not allow the term "guided trip" to produce images of a pony ride at the local fair. This is a full bodied snowmobile trip, covering roughly 200 miles per day.

Snow and trail conditions at this time are excellent according to reports, with a serious base in most regions.

There are three steps to becoming part of this trip:

    1) Block off the week of March 19, 2012

    2) Find $1279 USD, plus money for gas, lunch and alcohol

    3) Contact Bonvoyage Snow Adventures

I hope to hear from you.

    Staying right is right.

  5. The Roquemont in St raymond is good with fuel right in the lot. In jonquire the old Holiday Inn which is now the Hotel Sagueny is good and Sagueny Bill is located there, there's a pinned topic on this forum. In Roberval Chateau Roberval is nice with indoor pool. :drinks:

The Chateau Roberval double billed my credit card for $1328.00 last week. They were unresponsive when contacted and took 5 days to resolve the problem. Not happy with them at the moment.

  6. Hi. I have done this sort of thing before. It's how I learned to ride in Quebec. Met alot of people who like to ride Quebec and had great times. Looks like you have all your bases covered. I saved your web page. For what it's worth Labrador is on my bucket list. I know a guy who has done it several times but doesn't go anymore. That's one trip I don't think I would do without somebody who has done it.

Thanks for the comments. If you send me your email address, I'll keep you in mind should I run into resources on Labrador.
