  1. That looks real good iceman. I have an '06 nitro that's a 144". Used a mono shock suspension from an '06 attack, 136", then used trax usa rail extensions and a tunnel extension from "Hartman's mtn performance" in Idaho. Best thing I ever did to a sled. I'll never have go back to a short track again.

  2. Goeland is a pourvoire on lac edouard, I'm replying from their dinning room now. Great place to stay and they still have gas, the other gas here is closed.

  3. i spoke to richard at meckinac on tuesday night and he said they had snow and the pipeline had been groomed

    last weekend but the warm temps that they had was melting snow FAST.with temps in the high 30's low 40's all the

    way to lac stjean we decided to cancel our trip.

  4. Has anyone done the chibougamau loop from LSJ around to senneterre through Parent and relais 22 and back to LSJ ? I hav'nt seen any trip reports of the "full" loop and was wondering if it was passable all the way around. AND, can it get done in 5 days easy. Would be starting from the mekinac area. thanks

  5. 06' NYTRO skid (121") streached to 136" using trax usa rail ext. skid had 1000 miles on it when extended to 136". used 1000 more miles. track is a camoplast 1.25" prediter. has 1000 miles. NO STUDS. No rips, tears,missing lugs,or sighns of wear!

    track price 200 + ship. around $50.+/- not after making $ on shipping, what ever is the cheapest!

  6. Stayed at St. Joseph Mekinac this weekend. The temps were a little below 0f. but windy in places. Some whiteout conditions and some light drifting but still a very good day. Plenty of snow all trails were great...355,M7,318,302,353,360,347... And didnt see any more than 12 sleds all day! Gas aroung $.78 ltr and the exchange was $1.24 acording to my bank for this weekend.

    Thanks for the great trail report. Hav'nt seen much posted for that area yet. You said the river is smooth to Richards? That is great news. I think it's been about 4 years since it was that good. Usually an ice fiels to navagate about half way up.

    What is the best route around the lake coming up from 355n. This will be the first trip up there and will be starting from the Mauricie area (St.-Roch-de Mekinac) 355 north around the lake and back. Was not sure of the milage around the lake it self. Figured a day up, a day around and a day back. Seems from everyones postings that area has easy 200 mile days without leaving in the dark and returning in the dark.
