  1. before going up to my camp til monday ,just wanted to wish to all my american friends a happy 4th of july !!!

enjoy your day and have fun !!!

    groomer !!! :drinks:

I just got a BIG smile on my face after seeing that picture groomer! Where was that at?

  2. gardez la droite -keep right

    quebecois :reste a drette !! ha !! ha !!

I met a rider on my side of the trail going over a little hill and it was REALLY tight, :shok: then he was looking back at me and almost smoked my buddy behind me.

  3. When were you up around Lac Etchemin? We're thinking about heading up around there this coming weekend and it looks as thought they still have some decent snow. Any info about where you rode would be appreciated?

Unloaded at Le Manoir in Lac-Etchmin, great place to stay and leave the truck we have never had any issues there and the people are great. Bar and food at the hotel and a good bar called Bunkers is a block away or a short ride down the lake on your sled :drinks: . There are many nice trails around there and if you head north you will be all set, down go south they are lacking snow like every one else. If you make it to Le Manoir there is a guy at the bar in the hotel named Jill and he will treat you right, really nice guy.

Headed back up in a week if the snow holds! :drinks::yahoo:

  4. We are heading back up the 10th if the snow will hold that long. I bet we didn't meet 20 sleds all day and most of them where on TQ35. WTF is up with that did all the Canadians stay up watching hockey and lose interest in riding?

  5. I left the camp in Columbia NH at 7:30am on Saturday. I was not sure how far I was going to get as the night before I saw 4 sleds stuck just off rt 26 with no way to get gas as there was no snow into Downtown Colebrook. Friday night we had about 4" of fresh new snow. I took the chance and headed north. I arrived at SDR's trail system and they had been out grooming overnight. Pushing farther north, I hid Pittsburgs trails to find washboard and moguls everywhere. I pushed further up to the Quebec border and Wala, freshly groomed trial and plenty of snow. I headed north up TQ65 to Megantic. A couple thin spots, but good coverage. I took the right onto TQ580, what a nice ride. All good all the way over to TQ25. I took TQ25 south to the clubhouse at the junction of TQ75. The river is open and the reroute over the bridge is in effect for the rest of the season. At the clubhouse, I stopped for lunch 165 miles so far. I took the TQ 75 north up to St. Georges. Had to meet some friends for Saturday night at the St. Hubert/Comfort Inn.

I woke up this morning and looked out the window and saw the attached sleds. Mudking, was that you??

I met up with my friends and we retraced the same route back that I took up. 192 miles one way.

Caution, as the sugaring lines were put up this past weekend. Sleds can still get though, but the groomers can't.

The trails were still in great shape today, but they won't last long with the warm weather.

Stayed at Le Manoir friday night, rode Saturday and drove home that night. Trails were great but dont think they'll very long.

  6. I was in Chicoutimi for 3 days and 383 was a blast to ride, we also hit the local trails and those were mint as well. It was my first trip above the St Lawrence and i couldn't believe the riding, 23 from St Ray to Chicoutimi was a blast!! We stayed at La Sagueneen? SP? Nice place, great food but it sucks getting from the trail to hotel.

I was not "in" Chicoutimi the town.Per se

Rode out of holiday Inn,Jonquiere all last week.Trails were awesome.Around lake,Valin,383-83 down to Casino, etc.

Trails are great, pack up & go!

How do you like the Holiday Inn, I seen the sign for it but didn't give it much thought. Is there any food/drink there? What do you guys do for night life around there?
