  1. Alain-

Great report. We saw you at the Glaciere and wanted to say hi, but you took off before we got around to it. I am actually the Sasquatch looking thing on the right of your first picture!! We basically did the same run but ventured over to Saint Michel. The trail was good, but very rocky on the Saint Michel side. Just a note to anyone venturing out inthe St Zenon area. Trails have been moved, detoured and or closed and the signage was not all up. With more snow and more grooming the trails will be more evident and more signage up. My buddy ended up taking some logging road on the way to the dam and we got spilt up for over an hour. Not a pleasant feeling.. It's snowing like crazy now, It's only going to get better. Alain next time I see you I'll make a point of introducing myself- We crossed each other 3 times on the trails on Sunday- I had the Red Polaris and my buddy had the Black XTX.

  3. Awesome report- Threads like these are great when you want to plan trips. It's great to hear about locals being the way they are. It's a shame the only publicity snowmobilers get is bad publicity- Why doesn't the news do stories or documentaries on trips like yours- The people you meet, the places you stay - the events along the way??? I guess non- snowmobilers just want to keep on believing we are bunch of fowl mouthed - beer swilling nature disturbing tresspassing bunch of yahoos... Sounds like you had a fantastic trip. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Guys whatever you do, keep an eye on the weather- They are calling for rain and 8 degrees on Monday around the Montreal area and 6 and rain in Saint Michel des Saints. Chicoutimi is forecasting snow all week. Check the forecast as it seems to change almost on an hourly basis.

  5. Grteat news- I noticed the trail through Vaudreuil along the 40 in the industrial park was dragged and signage was up this morning and lake of 2 mountains has frozen over- Hopefully a good dumping of snow will come for Christmas....

  6. Minimum age required to drive a snowmobile on the trail network is 16 years old.If you are from Quebec you have to pass the safety course. If you are from out of province this does not apply HOWEVER the 16 year tage limit still applies. If you are on private property (say your own farm land) this minumum age limit does not apply.
