hand signals are flat out dangerous!!if there is a groomer,ditch,broken sled or any other opstacle I will be the guy to give a signal for sure. just ride your sled as if there is a sled around every corner and we all will be just fine. doing 5000 miles a year the most scary times have been the guy coming towards me with one hand on the bars.believe me it has happened !!! please lets use hand signals when there is good reason to.my kids nieces nephews etc. all take the safety class and instructers are no longer pushing the issue.safety first !!! btw the guy shaking his mad fist will get a friendly wave from me

you can purchase permit for new Brunswick at any clubhouse or even at checkpoint with no penalty.if you slide into quebec at any point you better have permit or it will cost you 400. bucks

just left Shawinigan Thursday the 30th, trails are in good shape

left fri. the 24th from escapade in Shawinigan around noon ,up the Maurice river to pipelinetrail to stay at odanick in latuque 120 mi.day2 head to relais 22 for lunch,then up to st felicien225mi.day3 fix chaincase issue leave 10.30am headto delta in Saguenay 130mi.day4head to quebec city via.letape trail on Monday ,run into snow storm slow going in the afternoon 205mi.to four points.day5head back to Shawinigan,pass through st Raymond 140mi. ALL TRAILS WERE IN GOOD TO EXCELENT COND.FRESH SNOW TOOK CARE OF ICEY COND.saguenay a little icey around town,but not a problem. total of 820 smiles.
