  1. There’s a section where you ride along the river. It reminds me of trail 13.
  2. We cross the bridge toward Esprit-Saint. The other side is also in top condition.
  3. We passed a sugar shack and see some guys at work. The trail is perfect. Then we pass a groomer going over the perfect!
  4. After fueling up we get on 35 East. We have perfect conditions. It looks like it has been just groomed. As we head east the sky turned gray.
  5. Over to 571 and again great conditions. We head over to Squatec for gas.
  6. We make our way to 544 and it too is looking very good. We pass a clubhouse and see Team Ice has been here.
  7. We get on local 44 it’s in nice shape as well.
  8. We are off to a great start trail 85 conditions couldn’t be better.
  9. Day 9 196 miles It’s a blue sky day 26 degrees. We head out and the trail has been groomed overnight. We pass the clubhouse and give thanks to the groomers.
  10. We got on local 44 an came up on 2 moose. They did not stick around long. No time for a picture. We get on 85 and head back to the hotel. 85 was showing the signs of a heavy day. The last stretch was choppy. Another great day in Quebec.
  11. We stop for gas and the hour was getting late. We change plans and double back on 571 and take 544.
  12. We take 571 over to Squatec.
  13. We head back to 518 then 5 West. TQ5 is getting a lot of traffic and it shows.
  14. Then over for a view of the Saint Lawrence. There’s an Island with a light house off the coast. iPhone doesn’t do justice.
  15. We take the orange trail toward Saint-Fabien. We go to check out some views. The first is up the mountain by the cross.
  16. After lunch we jumped on trail 518. The sun was fighting to break through. The trail is is good shape with some fluff on top.
  17. We head off to Trois-Pistoles. After a quick fuel run to town we stopped at the clubhouse and take a break.
  18. We spot a bunch of fishing shacks up on land in storage. We take 567 to TQ5.
  19. We pass by the Island and I can see some open water near the Island shore.
  20. We take 567 and make a left on 565. We cut across the orange local trail and back to 567. There’s a good amount of fluffy snow on the trail.
  21. The hotel is packed this morning. I see many machines pulling out on the trail. Visibility is down with the snow. 526 to 85 the trails are smooth with some fluff on top.
  22. Day 8 220 Miles It’s snowing this morning. We head off to Ile Verte for a look.
  23. We take the local 40 over to 526. The trail is very nice. We get on 85 and day light is gone. Another great day. I see my photos are not posting in order. Not sure why.
  24. We take 544 back toward the hotel. I haven’t been on this on yet. It looks like it’s a plowed road with not much of a base. It’s fine today but I’m not sure how it will look on a sunny day.
  25. We drop down across the lake and get gas.
