  1. We find the over look by the lake. Visibility is not optimal but it’s a nice view.
  2. Back on TQ35 we head to Pohenegamook. Trail conditions are very nice. I check the 195 tune on the machine. It does well.
  3. After lunch we take 557. The sky changes a few times along the way. We get some flurries and it clears up. Trail conditions are good.
  4. We take TQ55 over to St-Pamphile. We run to town and get gas then stop at the clubhouse for a break. It’s busy at the clubhouse today.
  5. TQ35 is in nice shape. Then it gets better.
  6. We take TQ5 past Mont-Carmel and take the orange local over to TQ35.
  7. We get on 559 the groomer hasn’t been here yet but it’s fine.
  8. Shortly down the trail you can see the north shore.
  9. We cut through the tunnels and take the orange trail along the Saint Laurent. The trail is freshly groomed.
  10. Day 7 227 miles It’s the coolest temperature of the trip so far 15 degrees.
  11. We stop for gas at the Shell station. We pass the pizza place with the wood oven stove and decided to go in. I like this place. We had a nice dinner and head back to RDL. We passed another groomer on the way back. Trails are shaping up.
  12. Just before TQ35 we spot another groomer. We checkout the lakeside view.
  13. We hit some drifting then in tree cover it’s back to powder.
  14. My pictures are not posting in order. After the groomer we pass the open field approaching the Adventures Club. The wind has blown the snow away.
  15. The trails were fluffy. It looks like people have been moving through. When we get to TQ5 we spot a groomer headed east.
  16. Day 6 126 miles We had a bit of a lazy day. Gemma went to the spa and I had a nap after breakfast. We hit the trail about 1:45. Off to Degelis to see what the storm brought us.
  17. At RDL we met up with Mike. We took a ride into town and had a nice dinner and conversation. Another great day in Quebec.
  18. We get to the hotel and had the pleasure to meet Jeff & Sandy. We had a nice time talking about our adventures in Quebec. We got in the truck and made our way to RDL. Shortly after leaving it started to snow. Thankfully the plow trucks are on the job.
  19. As we approach Matane it is obvious that the warm weather is taking a toll on the trails. This storm should fix things up. We can see it coming in the distance. It’s starting to get windy.
  20. The trails are in great shape. It’s a nice ride.
  21. Back on the trail conditions are nice. We cross the bridge at Cap-Chat.
  22. Just west of town there’s some logging going on. We got stopped by one of the loggers as there was a truck on the way out of a shared section.
  23. Once we get on the trail it looks like it was groomed overnight.
  24. Day 5 84 miles With the storm coming we decided to get the truck and move to RDL. We get rolling around 8. The sky looks gray. The street out of town needs the snow that’s coming.
  25. With the snow storm coming we are making changes to our plans. We are making a run for Matane. We are going to get the truck and make a move.
