  1. Many trips in Quebec can be done "by the seat-of-your-pants" (no planning) - but not one like this! Bill, you are to be congratulated for "making all the gears mesh" and tending to all the details that made this happen. This is an epic adventure I am sure. The tour of LG2 must have been incredible.

Hope the rest of the trip goes as well as the first part.

    Be safe.

  2. Pics are great! You are getting great weather! The partly cloudy or cloudless bright blue Gaspesie skies sure beats being stuck in a motel due to a raging storm!

Not surprised to hear some trails near Bonaventure were choppy. Last March was I think the only time I have ridden that area when the trails were 10/10.

  3. Correct on the rubbing, they are spaced far enough from the side of the tunnel and the foot board, all precalculated and yes vt_blueyamaha54 the aluminum brackets are homemade, made them myself in the shop, would you like some?

Very nice job! They are a very well thought out and sturdy design. Thank you for your kind offer but I fear the cost to send them to the US would be steep.

(I have resisted the peace-of-mind carrying extra gas gives but may have to reconsider soon - )

  4. Nice Set up Phil you're gonna really like having that extra fuel where touring long distance.

Here's what I did on my sled, homemade set up with Koplin tanks from our local Canadian Tire. One on each side gives me 10 litres or 2 1/2 CDN gallons. I imagine your Rotopax are equavilant in capacity.

Is the machined aluminum bracket something you made JG?

It looks like the tanks miss rubbing on both the edge of the runningboards and also the surface under them so there is no worry about wearing through the tanks, correct?

  5. Just messing with you Gary you know that.

But got to admit, it has to be close to 500 miles from home one way no? Long way for a little bit of heaven.

    Patience Grasshopper.

    x2 Scorp!

I just find the older I get, the less patience I have for riding in crap - even if I DO find some good - so I guess I'm "picky". Definitely much less tolerance for mud, rocks, water, and snirt.

We've all seen the extremes and (some of us) would just rather ride when the conditions are more likely to provide 'Quebec heaven'.

Glad for you that you found enough good to make it worthwhile.

  6. Just too bad for the Club. It will be hard to get a replacement quickly and do the conversion from tractor to tracks.

I have heard of some Kubotas catching fire like this one did.

I hope the Club recovers OK. I enjoy their trails!

  7. Thank you for another great season Groomer. I always have a few sad days after the end comes but try to focus on the next winter and the memories of last.

Your pictures always brighten the day and I look forward to them. I know I speak for many here!

Thank you for all you do and enjoy the days to come at camp.
