  2. When I purchased my sled back in 05 I only used Doo full Synthetic oil for about 4000 miles or so.

Then I swicthed to the Syn Blend, (doo to cost.)

Know I am thinking of using regular Mineral oil. (Doo)

    My question is,

Is it OK to go from Synthetic to Mineral? or will it cause problems.

    Thanks for any input.

  3. Bill, you are a real asset to the sport, we go to another country to ride and you make us feel at home at the HI when we get there.

Then you put on a great get together , and it was was a success.

We know you put a lot of effort into putting this thing on and everything worked out great!

We met new people, talked about different routes to ride, looking forward to next season. :good:

Hats off to Garneau's, Cabin Fever, Joel Beam , and CMV. (Too bad they don't have a trail going to there place)

I am glad I brought Christian with us, he had a good day. He even got to meet littlebraap! and them two know how to pick the winning tickets for sure. lol

Thanks for the great gifts, we will see you in the fall.

    Here is a few pic's I took.

  4. Thought I would post directions to the hotel.

    Directions

    From I-93 heading North

Take Exit 37, bear left off the ramp to the bottom of the hill (Route 18). Cannon Mountain View Motel is directly to your right, and the entrance is a right off Route 18!

    From I-93 heading South

Take Exit 38, bear right off the ramp to the junction of Route 18 in the center of Franconia. Go left onto Route 18 approximately 1 mile, and Cannon Mountain View Motel is on your left, just before the junction of Route 142!

Here is a link to there web site also. http://www.cannonmtview.com/direction.html

  5. Very sad news for sure.

I never met Bernard, but did talk to him on the phone a couple of different times.

Once, me and my wife was headed to PQ for a few days, I called him on the way there to book a room, and he told me there was very limited riding in his area and suggested to go to Valins. He was looking out for the best interest for us, (Sledders) not his business.

"Bernard is his name and sledding will allways be his game" :drinks:

Our condolences to his family and freinds.

  6. Now I like that Idea. Then all I need to do is find a funny little honey to pick me up and drop me off. :bad:

There are plenty of honey bunnies in Quebec! :drinks:

Did you read the story on here from GKW about when he broke down on his sled, and a bunnie picked him up?

Here is a link, check it out. http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.ph...pic=466&hl=

Noticed you are from VA, don't know how often you go to Quebec, but I bet flying would be a lot cheaper and you would save a 2 to 3 days of traveling.

  7. I would think with an insurance claim that high, that the insurance company will start putting some pressure on the authoritys to find it.

And if they doo, maybe a good thing will come out of it all, find the thiefs and break up the theft ring!

  8. 3,015 miles for me.

Around 1700 in PQ and the rest back in the states. :good:

Next season will be interesting to see how things work out, cost wise. (And of course snow conditions) it will be hard to beat the 07/08 season for sure!

Not only the high cost of fuel, but everything else is sky rocketing and out of control. It all adds up pretty quick.

With winter as short of a season it can be, I try to ride somewhere every weekend.

Next season, I plan on making less trips, (Anywhere) but make the trips I doo go on a longer stay, because just getting to where the snow is and back,

is a big part of the cost.
