I have tried repeatedly to in touch with Collett with no success what is the story?
Story so far, we had a problem with one of our communicators last year and repeatedly tried to get in touch with them without success so eventually bought a set of Scala Riders to replace the Colletts. Never did manage to get in touch with them, and believe me we tried - phone & e-mail. They never did close down their website so I just kept checking it over the year. Last weekend I checked the web site and there is a message on the home page from Les Collett saying the bank had forclosed on them but that they hand managed to buy the business back and would be back in business from the 6th October.
I e-mailed them straight away reporting our broken unit and what could they do about it but as of yet I've had no reply from them. The message on home page also said they would give an extra years warranty to anyone who had a unit that was still in warranty when they were closed down on March 15th. Their Toll Free number is 1.855.222.3231
Hope this helps, if I dont hear from them in another week I will try giving them a call myself

Heads Up guys - Just looked on Collett Communicator website and there is a note on there saying as of 6th Oct they are back in business! Apparently the bank had forclosed on them but they have bought the company back. They are offering an extended 1 year warrenty on all previous communicators sold.

Great pic's all, just wish we could have been there this year, they bought back many good memories. Snowmouse lingered long over the pic of the spare ribs!
Glad to see Shannon has not been put off by her accident - game girl.
Trust 182 to win the gloves!
Roll on snow now, look forward to seeing many of you at the HI, or whatever it's called then, in Febuary.

My daughter's first ever snowmobile outing in early March. Wasn't sure if she would enjoy it, but turns out she loved it. I ended up ordering a Seat Jack that night that she'll be getting for Christmas.
That is one great picture - the next generation

Brilliant, thanks for posting that.

Very interesting article groomer, thanks for posting.
Everything the groomers do is very much appreciated, without you snowmobiling wouldn't be what it is. So a big Thank You from the other side of the pond.

Nice report Ray, good to be reminded of great times. Thanks for giving me the chance to try your sled out - boy does it go - brilliant. Our Flights already booked and paid for, for next year, so we are looking forward to some overnights with you and your #1 Riding partner (who ever that turns out to be!) Have a great summer, will be in touch via e-mail.

From relay KM31, it is trail 93, really, most always the worst trail to ride there, so much traffic.
Thanks for the info Mark. The video in your post only bought it home to me how lucky you guys are to be so close to things, when we have to plan well ahead just to have 2 weeks 'in Paradise'

Do you have a direct link Greg? Have been on the admdq.org site but can find nothing about photo's and no rotation on main page
Thanks, Gary

Your thread serves to remind us of how frightening things could be out on the trails in between Relais.
Our communicators have served us well in that I can warn my wife of possible upcoming dangers. But as towing says It would be interesting to make a post on the security best practice and what can be done to make our rides safer... the limits of the SPOT device, the air medic service, insurances etc.
Thank God you were able to get help when you did.
Best wishes for a speedy complete recovery to your girlfriend.
