  1. I use to stay at Reals with my wife..Less trafic and also way off the main road..Makes it harder for those dogs to steal stuff. He has place for sleds that they lock. Its not that far from st zennon..The problem is he closes his restaurant early..Just nice to be away from the gangs at zennon and saits micheal..He also has hot tub in room...lol...Food was good and they are very frendly. They have lots of roads that lead to many lakes..That they dont plow..You could cut tracks for a day after it snows..Also have hydro wires..I have spent the day in the back roads there with my wife.. jack

  2. Good luck from there after the rain and warm temps..I just drove from Gaspesie and there is minamal snow on the south of the st laurence river.I am sure that the rain will kill most riding on that side..The south of gaspesie is very thin and probbably wont make it through the rain. There is almost no snow before, after, and around Rimmouski..Too little snow and wind this year...jack

  3. Well just got a call from a friend down in Gaspesie. He said that another 15 cm fell on the north shore of the Haute Gaspesie since I left friday in a bad snowsquall..Still not much 5-7 ks in but lots on the coast. The snow squalls are working over time this year. They are riding today cause its going to n rain in all Quebec..jack

  4. Sorry Bobby or anyone else if you thought I was saying you guys were bashing..

Its the bashing that skidoo did to yamaha..Also most skidooers who are brand friendly were right there bashing too..I dont care what you ride..Be happy.I ride what I think is good for what I need a sled for.Dependabillity...lol..I ride a Polarisque :help: ..lol..But I have a Yammie to tow it.

Again sorry if I made anyone feel like there was bashing going on..Cause I read that on HCS all the time.. jack

  5. Hmmm...doesnt Yamaha already have a 3 cylinder???.

.Hmmm ..You mean the 2 cylinder isnt enough.???? which they tried to convince was better than a yamaton.

Hmmm ..Skidoo and their followers trashed Yamaha for how many years...LOL.And now you skidooers are embracing the 3 cylinder.which Yamaha was first..and will weigh a ton too....lol..too funny..

I dont care what they come out with..Its not a 4-stroke Yamaha....

    Is skidoo following YANMAHA.????

    I think so.!!!!.

Do I have to get those pics and videos of a yammie and a skidoo on a weight scale...lol...

..I heard yammie has a crazy sled But I am not going to let the cat out of the bag..Jack

  6. High traffic area ..Means easy access..which is good for us..but good for the BAD APPLES too.rmk is right. The more out of way,the less chance.

.I park my truck at the end of roads .never had a problem. And my friends down here have been doing this for years.Maybe just lucky. But it is out of the way...

This problem is big in Quebec..Cause Quebec is the biggest province for sledding..These people are everywhere. We just have to keep passing on tips so they dont get away with our stuff. And start only using secure places. And tell the ones that dont have it, to do something, or we will not use them..Our money will make them change their minds. If we all do it together. This site can be the first to try and make a difference when it comes to where we stay..Meaning chosing secure places to stay..Just a thought.. jack

  7. Here we go again..lol..another 10 cm in the forecast..maybe we will get lucky.

Found some pow pow with some locals I ride with..The wind blew it all into the trees. So we rode in 1-2 feet of pow pow..Pics..lol..Too dame cold. :shok: .We rode for 3 hours and then were too cold ..Dont dress the same so when its colder than say -15..My clothes are either trail or off..Sweat or freeze...hmmm..This just started at the Sled Den AGAIN..Weather net says Blizzard :help: ...Shall take pics tomorrow ...Jack

  8. I hate to sound dumb but where is this? Name is not familair and couldn't find it on my map. Just sold the Cat tonight so looking to try out some new sleds.

Take the St Charles blvd north 2 ks and then turn right onto Pierrefonds blvd..Go 2 ks and then turn left onto Jacques Bizzard.Across the bridge and turn left.Go 4-5 miles and its on the right..Ask anyone where and they will know..Its in the westisland..Jack

  9. I just cant believe it..Yamaha and Moto Newman from Pierrefonds Quebec. All sleds will be there for you to try,.Except a mountain. You need a permit. This will be at the Ile Bizzard club house on Saturday 2 Febuary .Start is 9 am-3 pm.Hope to see you there. Jack

  10. Ile Bizzard...you're close to home quebecmountainrider, i was a member there for many years and rode with guys out of Kirkland.

Actually trailblazer i bought it in Gaspesie. This is the first time. They need it cause there is no one down here that really rides trails. Its the truth.Pics dont lie.Not even a track on the trails here in 6 days.

Ile bizzard is where we live.Ride from the front door of my house.Shall take a picture of the family of sleds. With my 2 friends, there will be 4 RMKs 163 on the lawn..We come to my house for coffee..lol..We will be at a yamaha demo ride by Moto Newman. They have a bunch of yammies to try.No mountain..lol..They asked me to come with my sleds and friends.Should be good..If your around come beat on a yammie..lol..Saturday the 2 of Feb.9 am-3 pm Ile Bizzard club house.Over the bridge ,turn left and go for like 3-4 miles and on the right..cant miss it...I ll be there cause these guys are good to me.

As far as Kirkland..that town sucks..I got a ticket for my sleds on my truck. They kept telling me no trailer so I got a deck. Then they went on for the sleds on the deck. also got one for my boat. Its a ranger bass boat..Moved to Ile bizzard cause of that.Made sure I could leave my boat on the side of the house and ride my sleds from the door. Now theres no trails left...Now Im in gaspesie. jack

  11. OK now when is some one going to ride by..lol..Its going on 5 days now since the groomer drove by.I think the groomer is the only guy driving the trails..Got some snow from the system and now todays snow squalling like a banche..Wind 80-100 ks.But got snow..Heres A pic.. jack

    More pics on site.

  13. For you guys who think we lost our snow..Here is a pic from in my yard..This is the sled garrage. We got 5-10cm from the squalls and more today..there is still 2 to two and a half feet at sealevel..Now we have a little lose snow for cooling..

    • Linda how much they charge here for them???..lol..I get mine from ONTARIO..lmao..

    • Now I know what they are called..But they are great. When the snow is packed they sometimes fall of when you are boondocking or sidehilling..So when that happens to you..Just put a little plastic tie on and it will not come off..Just remember that when you sidehill..lol....

  14. Jack,

    What kind/brand are they?

Do they stay out of the way when not needed?

    Thanks

The ones on my RMKs are the same as the ones on my wifes attak and also on my yammie 162..They are the ones you just lift back onto the rails. All mountain sleds have the same ones too..Standard on them now..Drill a hole and then your done. The trick is to find the right presure on the scratcher. You might have to drill 2 holes a side.Too much and they will brake.Too little, they dont work. There are many different ones. For me these work the best.I broke 2 untill I fixed the presure on my wifes scratchers.None since then.My yammie still has the same ones for over 10,000ks...All my friends I ride with have them..Except the ontarioans..lol.. Alain does alot of trail and he has them and stands by them..Its not just a long track thing.. jack
