  1. Welcome aboard - we use Jackman as our base - ride across at Armstrong, nice trails. As usual nice pics Groomer!!

    Blackcat,

You are buddies with Matt, Jeremy and Derrick right? Rode with those knuckleheads last year out of Jackman............great group of guys. I've ridden mostly quebec for the last 15 years or so and it was nice to ride Maine again.........planning on a couple trips with those guys and maybe show them some secret spots in Quebec......hope to see you out there...:bc:

  2. NW Vermont

Great experience/story. I can not say enough good things about the people from Quebec. When ever you have a problem they go out of their way to help you. I have had a few of these myself and know of others who have also had them. When I hear people say they had the opposite happen to them I just don't understand it. Just my $.2.

Bill, I agree 100%.........the people of Quebec have been the most friendly accomadation people I have ever met. Generosity is bred into them.........:bc:

  3. Auberge Presbytre

Great stop owners and staff very friendly

Shout out to the lovely Caroline behind the bar

Great place...........Bobler and I and a couple more showed up there one night at about 10pm after we ran out of snow heading to the HI...................Owners welcomed us, served us cold beers and dinner and provided rooms. We were the only ones there and they were, as always, great Quebecers.........:bc:

I kept looking for you this year but as like a Ray Price song says " I waited for you but you must have lost your way". Hope to see you next year. Try to make it up to the "Summer Gathering", lots of QR members will be here.

    Bill

Thanks Bill.............I will try and make your summer soire.......maybe if Jtoys and FlyinBrian :drinks: are willing we can make the trip...........good snow seemed to be below the seaway this year and my crew is scattered right now so hopefully we can get back up there next year........first year since I was riding SRXs since i haven't made it to the HI........only 2400 mile or so this yr ..........so far

  5. It's easy to say nice things about nice people like you guys. Glad your in CT, see you on March 06. You guys changed wheels just like a NASCAR Team.

Bill careful with these guys, they're all trouble.......grew up riding mx and working with John and Brian...........good guys. Wish we had gotten together this year.....with a year like this, hopefully next year will be a big snow year again......

  6. We were up here a day or so ahead of Brian and John............Brian, next time you see me say something, even if we are in a place with a bad reputation............we had great riding from Lac Etchimin to RDL besides all the stops to fix the Ski-Doos........St Magliore area was awesome and found some great hills to challenge anything but a longggggggggg track.......would like to go get a few more miles in but I think that will require some back woods trailering from here on out.....crappy year miles wise but way more boondocking than other years.....ended up with around 2400....probably 250 off trail.......John, you want to go find the rest of the snow call me............

  7. We plan on heading out on Friday, I'm in Milford but I grew up in Vernon. Are you originally from SW? My neighbor grew up there and my sister works at SWHS. But we all know the Rams football program far exceeds SW!! LOL :drinks:

    Hey John,

We are heading up Thursday, ride VT for the day then head up towards Thetford or father east.......also heading towards RDL or Maybe Gaspe if the trails hold up........I'll PM my phone number, maybe we can trade some paint like the old days........... :drinks: Ellington Football rules..........

  8. No money raised for our team, all self funded, lotta money and time spent, we were a new team that was flying under the radar with alot of prep and plans to shake up the regulars. 2011? at this point. Need to find a $$$$ sponsor to make it happen

    I know thissssssssssss.. :drinks:

  9. I know a few guys here were planning on riding Cains Quest..............looks like the race will be cancelled this year......rescheduled til March 2011........Bobler is gonna be pissed.......Lotta money raised and plans made for a lotta guys....

  10. I don't know but there was a plastic post on the entrance to one of the bridges around Armagh that scared the bejeezus out of us a couple weeks ago........we were clipping along and saw it at the last minute and it appeared to be an iron post but was just a plastic strip in the middle of the trail about 4 feet high and 4 inches wide................really stupid idea by someone, maybe to scare riders or slow themn down but it was 75 feet down on either side...................very close to where the railbed collapsed a few years ago..................I don't know who did that but it was pretty sketchy tryin to stop without anyplace but the 75 foot drop to go..........I think Bobler had to change his shorts after that............................:bc:

  11. I put the powermadd handgards and gaunlets on my 2007 ApexGt the day I picked it up. Awesome set up, great fit and finish. I am very happy with them

How many miles on that GT? I still have mine with 7700 on it, been riding the Crossfire this year though.........maybe when I get back to Canada, I'll bring the Yammy. Depends on snow and where we are goin..............you going up soon?

  12. Hey there S pump

John tolde me tonight that when I heard from you say hello.

FL, ain`t that the wrong way to be going?

    Bill

Yah, wrong way for sure....sometimes you have to sacrifice for the love of a woman...... :drinks: John left me a note....I've known him for years, great guy, we used to work together and race dirtbikes back a ways...hope to see you soon.

  13. This morning at 8AM I thought todaywas going to be a wasted day but low and behold at 8:05 who should appear but Team Butt Paste. They were nice enough to let and old man, me, tag along behind them. We went up to Onatchiway, across La Cache, down Bras Louis, 93 to the orange trail that goes across the Saguenay. We rode 175 miles. We had about 3 inches of snow in town and 6 to 8 at Onatchiway. Temp was +28F this morning and at 5PM it was +2F. Cops were out training on Bras Louis today.

The Butt Paste guys huh? Say Hi to John if he is still there...............did 870 miles last week south of the seaway, Florida this week then on to some serious riding......see you soon Bill...

  14. Hey what color is your sled this year so I can get a color coordinated tow rope and add it to my supply, my yellow one didn't match your blue yam.

Seriously I will take a pic of the stuff I carry and you guys would be amazed what you can fix and how long I could survive out there if I had too.

You know, next time your Doo stops running, i'm gonna take pictures from all angles.......you can't prove you had me on the rope anyways  ......no picture, didn't happen...... :drinks:

  15. Throw it on your trailer and bring it by my shop, I will hook you up. I am ready to ride, but H/S on the 10th in NH so week after.

P.S. - I have put together team for cains and riding it this year

You got issues..........it's gonna snow 2 feet in NH and you are gonna ride a bike? You gonna ride your 09 in Cains? I wish I could race that with ya......not in the budget.......Billy sponsoring you?
