  1. planning to go to val d'or from either rapides-des-Joachims or Maniwaki, just got a couple of questions any help would be great.

    - can any of these routes be done in a day reasonably if not were do you recommend staying

-is there fuel on the way, whats the biggest stretch without fuel

-were do you recommend staying in val-d'or

any info would be great thanks in advance.

  2. How much time?? How many miles a day are you comfortable riding?

    Here are two possibilities.

    LONG. Clova (83), Lebel sur Quevillon (83-93), Chibougammau (93), Saint Felicien (93, 373), Monts Valin (93). Relais 22 (if it's open) (93, 23, 83). Clova (23). 6 days.

    SHORTER. Clova (83), Relais 21, Monts Valin (83, 23, 93), St. Raymond (93, 23), St-Michelle des Saints (23), Clova (33, 13, 83). 5 days.

If you want to play in the Monts for a day and take a spin over for a visitation with Bill in Saguenay, add another day or two.

As to specific accomodations along the route just post your questions here. There are many on this site who are presently in a state of summer snow depression, with idle time on their hands, who would love to give you their 2cents on such an excursion.

I've ridden both of those loops many times and would be happy to answer any questions you might have should you have concerns. P mail me if you wish.

thanks for the response, any idea what kind of miles between stops

  3. mrterceira are you planning to drive your truck & trailer to clova and leaving from there ?

Truck and trailer to manawaki from there snowmobile to Clova and then so on.

Last year we drove up to mont valin and spent 4 days up there for the first time what an experience, our goal is to do some kind of loop up to mont valin and back with the least amount of trailering rather spend the time on the machines. We've thought of going up threw the montreal side but the weather up there is hit and miss. Were leaving from Aylmer and other ideas would be great. Thanks

  4. The season is so short that what ever riding I can get done I'll take, it can't be any worse then riding in shawville. Will try a trip early season then one near the end. I just got and ich that I can't scratch come on snowwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  5. We ride out in the Pontiac area of Quebec and the season usually starts January, we would really like to get out early and spend two or three days up there. From what what we here its one of the first places that opens up within reasonable driving distance to us.

  6. Hi everyone
