Thanks for the info guys. How about the Confort Inn just past Canadian Tire and La Cage Sports Bar. Although they do not seem to advertise on maps or have a sign anywhere. Wonder if the trail even goes to it? I think La Cage had a sign so maybe just skip down the side walk to the Comfort Inn?

Seems very few lodging options in town. Hotel Universal trail access? Last year, dark, arrived in town late, took a right just off the #23 trail that seemed to be marked for the Universal. Very narrow goat path into a residential housing area. Seemed to be a couple miles long, never made it to the Hotel Universal. Any intel from fellow riders? Thanks

Thanks for putting together another great local snow show. Helps get us into another riding season. Nice to meet finally you guys and share some stories and tips. Hope to see you on the trails.

A very warm welcome and thanks for all your hard work to all the Tamarac crew. We absolutley love the Tamarac. Feels like home everytime we visit. Maybe we can get up this Fall for a VTT ride before sled season. See you soon.

Markusvt and his crew just stayed at Trout Lake Lodge just south of Belleterre on the 63 trail. I think his report is in the Abitibi forum.

Yes, just across the street. It may even be 24 hours.

Yes, there is at least two gas stations in Barraute. One is very well marked with a sign and the other is a small station just off the trail, can see it just down the main road. This will save you having to go into town at Senneterre and then back track if heading West.

Thanks for the updates in the region of Clova. You have a very nice little place for us to stay when passing through your area. It was very nice to meet you last winter. Clean, warm, great food, bar with pool table and a nice barn to put our sleds in at night. Hope to see you again this season.

I'm sure other folks will pipe in but I have found Sainte Marie can get beat up and rough in and out of town at the end of the day. Many towns are like this but it is nice to only hit it once at the end of the day. I think you would have a more enjoyable experience if you just park your truck and trailer in a secure area, along with some security pre-cautions, then saddle bag tour and stay at a different town each night. You can easily explore that region along with the eastern townships and up into the bay st-Laurent regions in a four day period. No need for super high mileage days to get a nice mix of trails and regions either, just nice comfortable miles in your comfort zone.

If this helps Ya since your heading out soon. I was in Northern Maine last week and they got 13 last wed and another 14 in millinockett area on Sat.
Great, sounds no problem. Thank you

Have the trails improved with the recent new snow or should we stick closer to the St-Laurent river going up and back this week? Thanks

Trail condition sites say Beaucville is not green/good yet, low snow? Anyone pass through since the last storm this past weekend? Going north through toward Lac Etchimen this weekend. Thanks

Hey guys and girls,
just spoke to rob (skidoodeur guy) and he just got back from doing the lepine trail or the sentier du draveur and he did a bypass to get over the bridge being repared. At about km 35 the trail deviates towards the right for about 10 kms and rejoines the trail at km 45+- so that you can enjoy the rest of the journee. Because lets face it when you've taken the lepine trail its hard to beat. So you can count on a great trail all the way to club gatineau.

Thanks for updates in your area Tamarac.

Agree with all, awsome sculpture talent and thanks again for your specific report and photos. Some day must take a break from riding and spend time viewing all the pieces of art.

We stayed here last week. Very nice, a little pricy compared to Roquemont but...
It is about a mile from the Roquemont.
Thank you, I will give a call.

X2 for what Mid Range mentioned. Also going to/from Amos for gas: Coming from Lebel-sur-Quevillion you can gas at Senneterre or skip it and head for Barraute for gas. Trail junction is just North outside of Senetterre and sleds can usually make it no problem on hard groomed trail.

Forgot to mention between Chiboug and La Dore gas at the old sawmill, cash only I think. :)

Yes, very cool. Looks like good snow and grooming to ride in that sector of Charlevoix. Any trouble areas to mention? Thanks again

Wondering about other good drop point lodging and truck/trailer parking. Roquemont is already full this Fri and Sat nights. I think some festival going on in town. Thanks
