It was me standing next to you watching the technique, it looked painful in the cold. My etec barely started then also, but I also had a pull start installed at the beginning of the season. It was nice ot meet you even if it was a short visit. We get the technique down but the sled will not start. -

Thanks Bobler, A few questions on your reply.
What specific purpose pockets and in what locations are of the most function for you? chest pockets on both sides inside and out with big zipper grips, pockets on sleeves on forarms
Do you (would you) wear the liner as a separate apres snowmobile item? I don't personally like zip out liners, I like middle weight insulation with ability to layerWhat are your thoughts on a non bulky floatation assistance feature? flotation to me means nothing, but distinctive reflective piping does
I agree with the longer rear tail feature as it really seems to make a nice wind seal.
Please keep the comments coming.

What I look for in order in a good jacket
1-collar, the way it interacts with helmet, ability to seal up neck and not interfere with movement
2-wind proof and water resistant
3-pocket locations
4-ability to add layers without restricting movement to much
5-tail length
6-how well it stay down, doesn't ride up

Tried riding out of st foy last week, went 30 miles to the east, horrible conditions, trails were not opened on fcmq site then , but I see they are now, must have gotten some snow
-
Has any one rode 73 up to lac edouard and then on to 355 to 83? This is also a real nice ride but haven't seen anything posted on it?
Came back down that way sat the 15th, fine until about 30 miles north of new trail trun to letape, groomer was brocken down on trail and 355 had not been groomed even once yet, pretty rough for that 30 miles, then plowed road into lac eduard

Saguenay got a foot of snow this weekend.
Radar looks like a snowfall rate of 2" per hour right now just west of roberval

Red Roof is a location up 175, Stoneham I think, gets you up in elevation to ride, just a parking lot.
It is a restuarant that has secured parking, you pay per night to leave your vehicle there

Unfortunaly John is the Buttpaste sledder not going but I'll let him know. We normally try to start in St. Foye (around the Quebec airport) and head north to the HI from there but if we have to drive straight to Jonquiere we're prepared to do that. I'll try to post when we get up there.
Thats what I got in mind, drive to st foy, and then trailer to red roof if needed, heading up wed to scout around for rest of group coming thurs

Probably see you fri night, first ones on me

Same to you and yours!!!!
