  2. Has anyone heard groming is stopping by end of week in Mont VAL in area?

monday I rode 100 miles. Left at 9 with 3 couples. One of the sleds had a problem and they were headed towards Forestville. Took them to Villenaue's. Ended up being a stator problem. Left Villenue's at 12 noon and brought sled to Spence's. Having valves adjusted. Sled now has 12,400 miles on it.

Today I rode my 09 and rode 175 miles. Went to Ski-Bee- Doo for coffee and then to Scooby Raid for lunch. It was a real "I B Day". Cold and sunny.

Received email that Grooming is back on for the Saguenay Club and that the Caribou-Conscrits will be grooming until at least this Sunday.

  3. Technical presentations by all 4 manufacturers today. BRP and Polaris with some interesting developments, AC and Yamaha, not so much. BRP and Polaris have definetly put each other in their sites, which can only benefit the sport of snowmobiling. The day began with mandatory avalanche safety due to a significant snow pack and ideal conditions for problems.

Did you know that the perfect angle for an avalanche to occur is 37 degrees? It's the same angle that the dirt comes out of a dump truck and a pile of sand makes a natural peak at. All it needs is for you or one of your riding buddies to do something to kick it all off. They say if it looks like a ton of fun, that is an indication that it could be bad. Good to know. Fortunatly I can have plenty of snowmobile fun at way less than 37 degrees. Tomorrow we ride.

Have a great time out there ! Hope you gain lots of info to share with all of us. Today we ride from pourvoirie Martin ... mega snow falling here right now !

  4. The Roquemont in St raymond is good with fuel right in the lot. In jonquire the old Holiday Inn which is now the Hotel Sagueny is good and Sagueny Bill is located there, there's a pinned topic on this forum. In Roberval Chateau Roberval is nice with indoor pool. :drinks:

The Chateau Roberval double billed my credit card for $1328.00 last week. They were unresponsive when contacted and took 5 days to resolve the problem. Not happy with them at the moment.

I would sooner sleep in a snow bank than stay at that place (Chateau Roberval) ever again.

  5. Greetings, Its been several years since I have been back to Quebec. Next week we are planning to ride out of Shawanagin, staying at Motel Safari or possibly the comfort Inn. In years past we would ride from Shawnagin to Latuqe then to relay 22 then from Relay 22 to Robervel. Once in Roberval we stayed at the Chateua Robervel. I would like to do this ride again. Can it still be done? If so what are the trails we would take. On the return I recall we left Robervel then traveled through a state park then we got gas at a place with a teepee (elatape?) I believe we then went to St Raymond and then back to Shawanagin. Any help as far as trail numbers gas stops etc would be greatly appreciated. If memory serves me correct its about a 300 mile trip one way.

Do your self a favor and start from here http://aubergeescapade.qc.ca/contact .

easy to get to right off the 55 , gate parking for your rig with no extra fee , real easy to get to the main trails.
